nice idea, i guess single magnets would work also. What to do about the air leak above the roller? I'm not sure how to tackle that one maybe some kind of strip with bristles.

No need to worry about that it wont make much difference once you stop the radiant heat which is the biggest problem Peter Shedinsulationdiy

I was trying to think how to seal the big gap between the building and the top of the roller door as well. Buy some thick rubber mat from Bunnings and attach it to the underside of the top opening with the rubber just touching the roller door when it is down. When it goes up, the rubber will be pushed up a bit as the door circumference gets bigger, but it will still be a good seal. Brush would work but much more expensive than cheap rubber from Bunnings.

I just installed this. So easy, it took me 1.5 hours to do 2 doors, because I'm a bit slow. It looks great and I'm sure it works great too. Can't wait for the next hot day lol. Also, thumbs up for the great service from this lovely family company. It took only 3 days to arrive !

We make them from scratch - cut the sheets of metal into strips with a guillotine after applying a thin double-sided tape for extra hold then our son (single dad) has made a special bench to hold the straps while he adds the button magnets . This gives him some income and a royalty since he came up with the idea. The magnets come from China. Quite a lot of work actually.

I tried coming up with a cheap solution, unfortunately 90degree bushes are very expensive. $250 per door.
@elwood21210 ай бұрын
@@timjamesvella I used brushes which are the FLAT kind and around 4 inches long yet quite cheap at our local hardware. About $75 each, yet I needed 3 as the length was too short for our doors. To stop the crawlies and dirt blowing under I made some long sand sausages out of old denim and they work a treat as we exit via the side door.

@@jesusgonzalez8437 It can't be much because it's only a radiant barrier. There is no insulation. This would probably reduce wind infiltration.
