The fact that the other toes still technically exist as tiny, useless bones is a fun detail.

Hard to get the image of a horse with toes out of my head now 😄 I never knew about the original ancestors of horses having toes. Thanks for the interesting facts, Sol

Objects do not float if they do not displace a volume of water that has a mass equal to or greater than the mass of the object.

I really love this! Not a lot of people understand how much domestication changes an animal, but chickens are such a wild example of that, we wanted a reliable source of food, so we kept and breed the chickens that laid eggs more frequently until, generations and centuries later, we got this ones that laid eggs nearly every day, it’s fascinating.

This is such a fun commission given language, English is not my first language so this confusion is impossible to make, but hearing how similar they sound in English sure would have thrown me for a loop

You answered "do they actually eatbtin cans" for which I already knew the answer was no (because animals can't get mineral nutrition from refined metal). The question I was looking to answer is "could a goat eat a tin can?" Like if it was portioned or compressed in a way that it could be swallowed whole, would a goat be able to pass it without dying? I always thought the myth originated from "goats can eat anything, they'll eat the beans in the can and then eat the can it came in," as an expression of how strong their digestive system is. It's somewhat common knowledge that eating something inedible will "come out the other end," that is if it doesn't leach toxins, cut itself somewhere into the "global digestive system," or otherwise damage the organs resulting in death. Assuming the can doesn't have sharp edges that can cut the lining of the entire digestive tract, would a goat's digestive system pass a tin can with the only side effects being discomfort?

I used to put food and water out for the stray cats and raccoons where I used to live and I constantly had to change the water cause they would do that and get the water all muddy with their muddy paws

Chickens lay so many eggs because they know if they don't lay enough then they go to the chop or because they want tools to break out of the farm.

One of our chickens was missing for a while. Finally found her when I heard an ear-shattering cluster of high pitched chirping and found she had hatched FORTY chicks. The amount of eggs being laid had seemingly decreased around that time too, so it suddenly made sense. She was hoarding them all and they all hatched!!!

Interesting video! My family tried to raise chickens before, but one group of hens we had (seemingly) did not lay any eggs at all, even though we had them for at least a year. To this day, I am not sure if maybe there was something wrong that we weren’t seeing that prevented them from laying eggs, or if snakes were coming to steal the eggs before we could get to them, or something. It’s strange because the group of hens we kept before them laid eggs just fine.🤔 Either way, it is always fascinating to observe animals and learn more about them.💗
