At the end of the day, Nigeria is very rough. 95 percent rough, not properly planned and untidy

Hi Tolu, just came across your Lagos videos. Watching your video on Maryland brought some good memories and also made me shed a tear or two. I actually went to Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School for a year or so. I had an uncle who lived in one of the flats in Maryland and a school friend in the adjacent flat. An embarrassing anecdote - I had just passed my driving test so I decided to take my friend for a drive. I was only driving in the Estate. At one point, as I was reversing, I drove it into the gutter. So the rear wheel was now in the gutter and the car was stuck. I was literally ***ting bricks now and crying for help. Finally a few watchmen (Malam) came and lifted the car from the rear and put it back on the road and I was on my way. Even up till now, I haven't mentioned it to my Dad(lol!), otherwise he would have taken the koboko. I spent my childhood days in Lagos. Left when I was 18. But I miss every part of it. So many changes now but how I miss UTC, Leventis, Masco, Tisco to name a few. On the weekends we use to go Eko hotel for a day trip and I got to have my favourite drink - Chapman. Sadly I cannot remember the original recipe. This was back in the 80s. There use to be a comic kiosk outside Tisco supermarket (Ilupeju) and the comics use to be sooo cheap. And bread (Goodluck) woas only 20kobo. I also use to love the carton milk we got at the primary school in Ilupeju. The amusement park in Apapa was like Disneyland for us. And then we use to have Chinese at the Double Zero in Apapa. Watching Village Headmaster and New Masquerade was our usual time pass. Although I am Asian, I learnt some Yoruba in primary school. Wish I had continued but I still know a few word here and there. Nigerian folks are shocked when I say I lived there for 18 years. It wasn't about the money. It was about the fun we had in the 70s and 80s. Those were the best days of my life!

Sell to the yorubas. IGBOS have learnt their lessons and are no more interested in Lagos. IGBOS are now investing in Biafra Land. No sane IGBO man will invest again in Lagos #WEAREGOINGTOBIAFRA.

I don't know the thought plans of the planner of this beautiful house. Could have been more practical. The env is great and designs are great with spacious wash rooms. Aside from these, it is simply impractical for aging people or people with kids! Will they have to take their meals upstairs to eat? Bewildering! for that price.

Almost switched over when l saw the living room.I don't get this nigerian craze for ante room!lf they had added the antee room part to the living room the house would make more sense, even if it means a cover one meter terrace outside before coming into a bigger livingroom. The estate is nice though.Thank you Tolu.
