Oh the halcion days of pre BOG and Super. Back when there were 4 forms and three series. Channels like Qaaaman, Blackenfist, and especially Geekdom hadn't come around yet. I miss these old days honestly. ALSO Death Battle released the original Goku vs Superman video in 2012

just found this video series, it's really interesting to remember what the "dark ages" of dragon ball were like, recaps like this also help a lot in showing people who got into dragon ball through things like abridged or super what things used to be like before abridged exploded in popularity around this time and battle of gods came out the original broadcast of kai went out like a wet fart, having ended prematurely with the android saga and the final episode didn't even air on TV in the US, it was exclusive to nicktoons's website for a time, and you could tell that toei had barely any interest in continuing it, even the buu saga was only originally planned to be developed solely for the overseas market because of kai's terrible ratings and sales in japan, there was no true spark of popularity for this franchise again outside of abridged until battle of gods was released things were really rough for old dragon ball fans, hoshi especially is one of the most obnoxious things from this era because every few months people would say that it's coming any day now using new footage they took from the heroes trailers, I remember people even using the dragon ball online promotional trailers as "footage" of the series, it's similar to what people do now with the fake news about the super anime returning, but hoshi never had any actual ground to stand on for people to actually believe in it outside of desperation for new content

2012 was a pretty good year, I think everything went to shit after that honestly, especially music, and then Sandy Hook and whatnot at the end of the year, just horrible. As far as KZfaq goes it was way past its prime though, 2006-2008 were peak.

Finding the DBZ Broly movie adapted into book form as a kid was my first time experiencing dragon ball, and i've been a fan ever since.

2010 was an insane year for Dragon Ball. Probably the most memorable year for fans of the games. Banger after banger after banger after banger!!

Australia also had no dub for the Budokai 1 HD Collection.

I remember someone during a school trip asking if I was going to get Ultimate Tenkaichi and I said “Eh maybe.” Definitely glad I did not get it. From all accounts one of the worst games in the entire franchises history.

It would have been 2011 but I distinctly remember seeing Raging Blast 2 in a shop (not even a proper game shop just a normal shop that happened to sell games) and being intrigued by the big red guy on the front. I bought the game and when I booted it up for the first time, I fell in love with Battle of Omega, the games opening theme. The game itself is good, but not great. The story mode being battles with no actual cutscenes sucked. It was cool to play as Coolers henchmen, Android 14 and 15, Tarble and Hatchiyack though. Kinda stupid that they didn’t dub Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyan which means that it and Episode of Bardock‘s only English dubs are the Team Four Star specials.
