The old belt is stretched. Put the new belt in hot water so its easier to work with.

It will slide right in if you put a little spit on it.

I thought those bumpers were covering screws, but then the bumper seemed too large and they weren't readily pulling out. So my first guess was right. Now to open it up and see if the balance ring is missing water. I've seen a comment elsewhere that you can just refill it yourself and just close off the filler hole with a coarse machine screw.

just what i was needing , dryer been down for a week ,dryer in warranty period , however it is scheduled 2 weeks out for parts replacement , service provider shipped me the heating element with all new components (not sure how that works customer gets parts ,has wait 2 weeks for service tech to repair ) ,found your instruction video , our home is back normal ,momma is smiling again ,thank you so much

A little more to it than that you got to wait driving around for a while... A lot of times it's just the plug, pull the plug out squirt it with WD-40, put back.

I have that model but you did way too much work on it. You do not have to remove tub to get heating unit out. Simple to reach in to remove back 2 screws and pull it out. You do want to remove the cover over squirrel cage to clean the cage and area which you did do but no need to remove the drum/tub. KISS...Keep It Simple Stupid is the best approach.

My daughter and I have put the washer on its back and removed the black cover and revealed where the belt and two pulleys are. As soon as we took that cover off, we see that the belt is on and seems to be in good condition but there is black chunks of either plastic or rubber All over the place , On the floor and in the black cover, and under the bottom of the washer. Is there a chance that one of the pulleys center hole has been routed out and we just need to replace the two pulleys?

All lights flash when I put it in diagnostic mode to test for errors
