Hello and thank you. I really would love to have one of your cheat sheet. Learn lots just watching your video. Plan and simple.

I downnloded the excel sheet for measurements but it does not appear to have correct cut lengths for zippers. Am i missing something? I was expecting a bit more info for the money. All you really incleded was a calculation of the perimeter of the pouch, but have not included the radius of the corners. I hope you enjoy the coffee i bought you.
@AllieSewCrafty2 күн бұрын
Hi, I have a tutorial showing how to use the formula. This formula is best for a regular packing cube, not a compression packing cube. However, for the compression packing cube just add 4" to the length. The zipper length calculation is in the formula as well. The radius is 1.5", and that is in this video as well. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j6mafMmenrK4mZc.html I really hope that helps you.

Does the bag tilt if the connectors are on one side of the bag only? As for the enlarging the pattern 25% it prints on 2 sheets you have to cut them out and join the half pieces with some tape. I printed it landscape
@AllieSewCrafty3 күн бұрын
The bag doesn't tilt when the connectors are on the sides. It just a matter or look and preference.

@@AllieSewCrafty I am making this bag for my cousin since she took time off of work in June to take me to the hospital for eye surgery, I wanted to thank her with this gift, but I think she wants a cross bag so I am looking at different tutorials on which would be the best way to sew in the connectors, one placed them in the seam of the zipper I think before the zipper tabs one on each side but it looked lopsided when she held it up. I think your way is better just was curious if it tilted. Thank you for sharing your idea.
@AllieSewCrafty3 күн бұрын
@@arrivagabry Oh definitely! It's so nice to have good family members and I'm sure she's going to love your bag. Yes, the reason why I did it with the d-rings on the back like that is so that it can stay in place when being used and it falls flat on the body nicely.
@arrivagabry2 күн бұрын
@@AllieSewCrafty I was thinking instead of sewing on zipper tabs I would use the butler method on both sides makes a bigger opening on the bag. what do you think?
@AllieSewCrafty2 күн бұрын

Hi @Allie ! Thank you for creating this video. I still feel bad pricing my crafts because it's true what you say, it's expensive all the materials we buy and then our markup, and time for production. Also I wanted to ask you, your spreadsheet didn't include threads... Do you have a recommendation on a charge for threads? Thank you. Blessings!
@AllieSewCrafty9 күн бұрын
Hi! Because threads are so difficult to calculate how much you're using, I include that as part of the markup. Things like tools that eventually we have to replace, like scissors, bobbins, or electricity, etc. All of that is part of that markup. You can take a percentage of that markup and set aside for those overhead charges. Hope that helps! :)

Hello 👋 I'm so glad I ran into your awesome tutorial on this bag. I have this pattern among others from Bagstock Designs & others. I'm a visual learner and have difficulties following written instructions. You have no idea how much your tutorial has helped me. I will be able to make this bag following your amazing and clear instructions. Love the way you instruct each step all the way. You didn't rush through it which is even better for me to follow. I thank you so much. I just became your subscriber. Looking forward to more bag making tutorials from you. God bless you! 💖👍🙌👏🙏🌹

Just a thought... Could you attach interfacing first and then the Odicoat if you wanted a sheen? I might try that test just to see! Great video!
@AllieSewCrafty12 күн бұрын
I think you can add the interfacing first, but definitely test it because the "wetness" of the liquid vinyl or odicoat may create bubbles in the interfacing. Thank you! :)

Never thought about using WPC to do quit as you go. Tip from a quilter. Easier to start in the middle of your batting and work both ways. Your way works but I believe it is easier working from the center. I have to try this now.

I needed a much bigger, and compressible, packing cube for packing a large tent on my motorcycle. I used your formula, and made only 1 change to make a cube 22" x 11" x 7.5", that compresses down to 4.5". I made the compression panel wider, and sewed the zipper tape about an inch from the edge of the panel, in order to get the needed height for the cube, both compressed and open. Thank you so much for all your packing cube videos... the combination of all of them made this project a success!!!
