@@flaxvert thank you ☺️ we’ve had a tough few years with Dolly being diagnosed with autism and Tourette’s syndrome but things are great now. I started doing KZfaq as it’s something she asked me and I secretly wanted to do it. I think funfairs whether they are big or small are always worth going too and have a great feeling when your there. Would be great to meet up ☺️

You may know from my vids that all i know is autism, Mikey dancing in all of them and the way he speaks shows what he is like. I have been a single dad since he was 5 and now give him his best life and share our adventures on here so he can look back on the fun and others can feel our bond and be part of our adventure. Haha we are all over the place! Last weekend it was the south coast, this weekend was Newcastle and a couple of places today. All my money goes on fuel, hotels and rides! But like loreal, it's worth it!

We did the Barnsley fair the other day and that was £2 a ride for most. Some fairs are £4 and £5 a go. Crazy prices!

£10 for Apollo, we paid £6 to go on it at another fair. That's why I like to include the ride prices in my videos, anything to help people 🙂

The Moor is still in a bad state from loosefest last summer (which was a couple weeks after the Hoppings) On your comment about prices. People don’t realise the showmen don’t want to charge £3/4/5+ per ride, they have no choice, the rents from Newcastle council have gone up, the cost of fuel is sky high all the rides and stalls run on diesel, maintenance, replacement parts are getting more expensive, staff costs, insurance costs, travel costs. Everything costs money, it’s a business they’re running, they can’t run it at a loss. I travelled for years on the fair, and every year it got more expensive to run. Just remember before anyone makes any uneducated comments about the showmen and their rides their way of life prices etc, we’ve all gotta make a living, we’ve all gotta eat, we’re just out here trying to entertain the public while making a living. You’ve also gotta remember some of these snowmen will still be paying of the cost of buying the ride itself, which are worth 100s of thousands of pounds.

Same old rides and prices going up. I totally understand showmen need to make a profit. I've been going to fairs for years and do appreciate what work goes into these machines. Over the past few years I've seen the number of folk going to fairs drop massively due to cost. Take a family of four and costs the price of a weekend away.

Ahh brilliant, thanks for letting us know buddy! I completely forgot to ask when I walked past it the second time. I've done the wheel when it was at another fair a few years back but can't remember the price and they didn't advertise it then either for whatever reason

@@flaxvert When he first started out with the van he did not design it as an attraction, he had a friend who had Down syndrome so originally he made it with a more sensory aim in mind, He offered it as a free service to travel to Special need schools, clubs and other services designed to help those with needs After a few some schools and clubs were demanding that he made changes to the van, Get higher liability insurance and for him to get trained in the area of special needs, When he refused to spend the 1000s he would need he basically got blackballed as not supporting disabilities despite what he was offering was completely free and out of his own pocket. Anyway, the outcome was he decided to leave the idea behind and add a centre wall with more mirrors on it and use it as an attraction instead, The fella's name was Mal Chapman.

My camera wasn't recording, I didn't realise till I got back in the fair. There was a few more peeps I thought I filmed too that weren't on there. As soon as I realised I came back to the location I saw you all but you were long gone. Are you not anywhere else in the video as I walked round filming?

I'm pleased that the video helped buddy. I only ever do my own services as it's cheaper. I thought I would film doing the filter change when I saw it was in such a stupid place so I would know what to do next time. I had no idea the video would be so helpful to others!

I've just uploaded the Folkestone fair, that was a 4 hour drive today to get here but it's all part of our adventure 😀
