we down under australia for those that dont know' we have many prisons here but thers one prison that goes back to the 18 hundreds its called Bathurst jail. iv spent a lot of time there i was a witness to a bsd thing i seen once. well this guy had a big mouth all day you would here this younger man talkn crap loud as everyone can here this kid well the guy under his cell was a lifer and he asked this kid to pull up on the loud mouthing well the kid just looked at him and said ok old man well the old guy turned back to his cell he come out with half a loaf of bread it had a bone crusher the next thing i could see was this kids head rolll out of his cell the old guy just walked out smileing no one said a word right up till lock in.

I once knew a relative of mine, who is now deceased, and I asked him what was his time in Rikers Island like. He said to me, "David, you don't even want to see the outside of the damn place!" Once outside, I asked him how well he was adjusting to being so-called free and in the free world. He said something to me I'll never forget when he stated, "Maybe what that guy Mark Fuhrman said was absolutely true. You don't have to incarcerate someone to put them in prison!"

I've watched this several times as a reminder of my 2 yrs in Rocky Butte Jail in Portland Oregon. A medieval place hewn from the rock it sat on.

The guy in the beginning at 7:00 that was abused says his mother left him at the hospital with the welts his grandmother put on him because of being overwhelmed of the situation. Nope. She knew that she would have been investigated for the child abuse.

I think the worst of my issues are from close to 9 months in solitary confinementjust Me and my bunkie. 10 years in federal prison for weed and LSD

Rikers Island is a creation of New York City and a hazard to its officers and of course the inmates that go through it on their way state side or even just holding while they wait for court. These so-called elected officials have let this go on for years without figuring the problem out while the state keeps closing prisons letting dangerous people back out in the streets! It's a travesty and a failure of the administration!

It’s disgusting! The infuriating part is the sexual assault that COs know Is happening! That woman was RAPED BY 4 Other Women AND I KNOW GAURDS SAW IT HAPPEN! BULLSHIT NOT IN AMERICA! All of the prisoners need to write to congress and tell them what’s happening.,If they were smart they wouldn’t let the system turn them into monsters and get more time. They come together and turn it on the system and put the COs in jail! Sadly most are from broken homes with no father or a criminal drug addict father. There’s no safe place for the child to go if foster care isn’t safe and they’re beaten and raped by foster parents and counselors! I’ve worked in a level 12 group home for kids and quit bc it was to heartbreaking Watching children get punished for the crap their parents did to them! Children don’t know how to handle their emotions so they act out even at 8. I had an 8 year old cuss me out call me names bc her mother didn’t show for her visit. That was pure pain in the child! HOW MANY TIMES DO PARENTS GET TO ABUSE AND NEGLECT A CHILD BEFORE WE TAKE AWAY PARENTAL RIGHTS AND PROTECT THE CHILD? HOW DO CHILD MOLESTERS BECOME FOSTER PARENTS? Seems NEW YORK'S CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT AND NEED INVESTIGATION! This angers me!

That first guy who got unjustly arrested, that situation is what I fear most. It seems like police have too much power and it's your word against theirs. I stay as far away from them as I possibly can, you can't tell the good ones from the bad ones. To think the government could do this to anybody. They are becoming more and more corrupt and it could happen. I'd rather be dead.
