How did the Laguna Leather seats hold up? I seen post about the leather getting loose. Going to buy a HC w/ Laguna Leather but I prefer the Alcantara. This video helped me w/ my decision.

Can someone help me please? 1) Can you suggest any proven methods of installing such a lift in a garage that has a slope of at least 4-5 inches? 2) Also, would the lift shift if I don’t bolt it to the ground? (I would rather not anchor it as my concrete slab is only 4 inches thick.)

There's a guy on eBay that sells Hennessey takeoffs for just under 2K. They're practically new units. I bought one of those and swapped it in my garage. It's not hard to do but you'll probably need a helper to physically swap the supercharger. He said they only sell the 2018+ units to avoid dealing with bearing issues.

First off, if it's a rear main seal, do whatever you can before that, especially on a high mileage car. My jeep and my hellcat have almost the same mileage both over 115k, my jeep gets high mileage oil, my hellcat does not. I'm not really sure about the oil changes over the life of my jeep, it's old and I've only had it a couple years, I'm sure of my hellcats oil changes being made at half the recommended intervals for over 100k miles. The real problem comes in with recommended oil change intervals on modern cars, the more cycles the oil goes through the more it breaks down, the more it breaks down the more it leaves deposits. I've actually seen oil caked in the shape of the valve cover when I took it off a Toyota that never had an oil change. Deposits are a big deal on direct injection cars, the gas no longer flows over the valve, that high heat area at the top of the motor no longer getting doused with gasoline, while using the same motor oil for 2 to 3 times longer is going to cause problems. I believe it's the same with the catch can, I had one for six months, never caught anything, but like I said I change my oil between just under and just over 3k miles religiously. So short answer, for almost everybody yes, it helps, for those of us who...obsess over our cars, no. By the way, fun fact, we can all thank Hitler for synthetic oil.

Great video! Glad most of you Challenger owners have not had the issues I have had!!! I have a 2017 T/A 5.7L and purchased it used in 2021 with only 14K miles on it. It only had one previous owner that did not drive is much. I daily drive my Challenger to work and home and take good care of it by keeping it maintained and clean. I have not done any modifications and don't drive it hard. Unfortunately, I have had my Challenger in and out of the Dodge dealership service center multiple times😮‍💨! My PCM was having issues and had to be replaced. The battery died on me with no warning and replaced it. The purge control valve had to be replaced due to code P0443. The electrical connector on the purge control valve had to be replaced and wiring soldered on. My latest issue as of 11/10/2023 when cleaning up the engine bay, I have an oil leak under the intake manifold. While checking the oil, I could not get the oil dipstick to go back into the tube!!! I have owned many vehicles over 30 years and never seen where the oil dipstick wont go back in. I guess there is always a first for everything. I have an appointment once again with the dealership service center. Guess I was one of the unlucky ones and got a used lemon. I love my Challenger and have always wanted a muscle car. After these issues I've had and the inconvenience of dropping off and picking up my Challenger plus being without transportation multiple times makes me think it's time to trade it in🤔!!!

I know if I ever get the money to get a Challenger I plan to get a RT Scat Pack with the T/A upgrade. 485 HP is good enough to me. I don't race so the 700+ HP is a waste of power to me for something I plan to use as a daily driver.

Great video. Very informative. I've done quite a bit of research and am almost ready to purchase my first car storage lift. I just had a high lift garage door kit installed in preparation. My garage ceiling is high enough for the two cars I want to stack but I do question the 1-2 feet of EXTRA clearance you claim to need just to get the lift to lock high enough. The lock openings on the lift are not a foot apart so at most, it seems like you would need 1-3 inches of extra clearance to get it to latch in a high enough position and that's assuming you're dealing with a very tight space where every millimeter counted.
@natesrt
@natesrt Жыл бұрын
I think the extra clearance is to account for the height of the platform that the top car will park on plus also the need to raise a bit to be able to release the locks before the platform can come down.

@natesrt
@natesrt Жыл бұрын
Hey Scott, the link to his eBay store is in the description on this video. You'll see the supercharger listing right there. He's pretty responsive during the week so ask him any questions you have. The shipping is by freight so check with him on the cost for that. It's a lot cheaper to ship to a business address so if you can do that you'll save a bunch. It comes on a pallet but the box is from a Magnusson unit so if you toss the pallet, the box will fit in the back of an SUV easy. The unit I ended up installing seemed very clean inside so it didn't look like it had a lot of miles just like he said. If you have a friend to help you it's totally doable DIY. Having another set of hands to remove/install and also for the belt tensioners is very helpful. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions!
