you failed at 5:28 didnt explain what you did to connect and had some stuff already setup. my GNS3 doesn't look the same and I am not able to follow instructions after said time

Nothing needs to be done at that point you just need to wait for the local server to come online in the left side of your screen. After that only you will be able to add images in the GNS3 or else you can jump to the next step where we will install a GNS3 VM seperately as a server to run the Qemu images.

Hello, I tried to follow it and use the same version for both FTD and FMC (6.7.0-65), but only the FTD can start. For the FMC, even I "click" the start button, but it never start. Still not sure why.

The FTD and FMC are resource consuming images make sure your are allocating enough RAM & CPU to the eve-ng VM.

If your device is still grayed out that means the name of the folder is wrong also make sure to correctly rename the folder and the image name as per the Eve-ng naming convention: www.eve-ng.net/index.php/documentation/qemu-image-namings/

/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a restoredb this worked for me. oddly enough before I ran into this issue my eve-ng crashed my pc once rebooted I was unable to log in to the GUI. I guess it corrupted the DB. Thanks

The main reason for that is the folder name is not as per the requirement from the Eve-ng. Kindly follow the naming standards for the folder and the file inside the folder as per the Eve-ng naming standards from the below mentioned link 👇: www.eve-ng.net/index.php/documentation/qemu-image-namings/

Are you using windows 10 or 11. Make sure to have the virtualization enabled in Bios and also make sure to disable the hyper-v in widnows.

The image links are not working for me, so unable to even get off the ground :( Been trying to learn GNS3 but almost every video on youtube seems to have outdated information and most of the links are not working for VIRL images. I don't mind paying for the images but can't even find the site for buying / subscribing :( Video is nice though but unable to following along
