Seems a bit counterintuitive that a spacer makes it shorter. In my head i imagine thr spacer creating more expansion, thus taller.

I went with the Brembo RCS15 master cylinder, HEL performance braided line to a Brembo m4 monoblock with magnetic pistons, Brembo pads and a 13 inch Galfer rotor and for a single rotor setup it is AMAZING!

Hey buddy! How you empty the brake lines and brake system completely? Gonna send the calipers and master cylinders for paint and can´t find any videos on how to do as people don´t to empty the brake fluid but rather refill and fill up with fresh one. Cheers mate!
@willcountypowersports6338
@willcountypowersports6338 5 ай бұрын
Just suck all of the brake fluid out of the master cylinder. Unscrew the banjo fittings on the calipers and let the fluid drain out overnight. From there you’re going to want to completely disassemble, the caliper spray it down with brake cleaner. And then I recommend putting in new seals. As far as the front master cylinder, same goes for that completely disassemble it and then buy a rebuild kit once you get it back from paint. As far as getting it out of the brake lines, just disassembled them and run shop air through them. Then spray some brake cleaner in there. I typically don’t see people painting the lines rather just replacing them with the color that they want.

@willcountypowersports6338

Definitely give this a try then. It has worked for me every time and then install a zip tie on the lever overnight and that will force any tiny air bubbles out through the master cylinder.

Hey, at the time it was the only one on eBay. I know the newer ones have a vent on the top of the oil tank and from my understanding can cause oil leaks when at 12 now I may be wrong with that. I did do a quick search on eBay and found one but they’re pretty pricey. www.ebay.com/itm/235271079138?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1qJUQHbTRr2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=gf3m0YKKS0C&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Here’s the OEM part number 62888-04B for the 2004 oil tank. You might be able to take this to Harley Davidson I know it’s still available but I don’t know if it’s supersedes to the latest design oil tank or if they’ll actually sell you a 2004 tank. I just know the newer ones have a vent cap on the top and I’m not sure if that’s good for stunt riding. Buying them new is around $300 and the one on eBay is about $300. I think I was able to find mine for 125.

Thanks for the good info bro. Do you fill the oil over full now? If so do you run an expansion plug?
@willcountypowersports6338
@willcountypowersports6338 Жыл бұрын
No. 2003 and under has a steel tank where you need the expansion plug otherwise it will pop out. 04 and up uses a plastic tank with a twist lock style cap so it’s not needed. Only fill your oil to the halfway mark on your dipstick overfilling can cause oil to go through the vent line.

Can someone post the specs of the pentalobe head screws, (size, length and thread pitch). I want to replace them with a regular screw. Also does that coolant port go anywhere in the TB, I had so much crud and rust in mine, I cleaned it out but want to make sure I didn't miss any ports or openings in the TB itself if they are there. These IACs are 25 bucks on Amazon and Toyota uses the same one.
