What made you choose mechanical engineering? I am struggling to choose a degree at uni
@jallmo
@jallmo 3 күн бұрын
Originally I wanted to do medicine but I love maths too much and mechanical engineering isn't Just theoretical . It also has applications to the real world which I like and also is very very broad so you can do anything after three years. For me I don't know what I'm doing next week, so that's helpful. Also found out i like coding more and realised i can still do a masters in computer science with a stem degree so any engineering degree or computer size maths degree will be worth it in the future.

@@jallmo me too man my options are between computer science,mechanical or chemical engineering. I really love maths but isn't the maths in cs is not to much but I have heard if yougo into ai/ml it is pretty maths heavy. What do you think? Is there any way I can get into contact with you. Really appreciate your videos love them so much so inspirational ❤️

i just upgraded to the m4 13 iPad pro as a highschool studnet. it's interesting to see another opinion. I'd say it helpes me study so much better. here's my opinion on your points: - eye health: as long as i dont make it too bright and blink often, it's not an issue. - i need to read all my textbooks on iPad so the huge colour canvas helps - computer stuff: with the magic keyboard, it can do most of what a computer can do except for many programming tasks. final cut pro and davinci resolve are on iPadOS! and ipad can handle my huge onenote notebooks smoothly and with ease. of course, there's a place for my desktop/laptop when i wanna code, but this lets me study on the couch or bed or bus in a way a laptop never can :)

How do I change the card limit on iPad? Ive only seen computer tutorials so I’m literally lost on that
@jallmo

you need to change the number of new and review cards you see in study options when you are reviewing there is a settings button then find the button study options and i think that you can do that on your computer then sync it

I’ve been debating getting an iPad Air or an e-ink tablet, plus a laptop maybe. Have you come across the remarkable 2 e-ink tablet ? What are your thought on it versus the one that you currently have. And are there any limitations with software for anki. I’m looking for devises for university, I am going to study biology so I don’t really need powerful hardware but at the same time I want to digitalise my notes and also be able to do video editing on the side. Would you recommend a MacBook and remarkable ? Or any other setup ?
@jallmo
@jallmo 20 күн бұрын
My friend has a remarkable and he got me into it. I would recomend m3 macbook air or cheaper m1 air if on a budget upgrade to 16gb for editing and maybe and imovie is enough for editing and is free on macbook . i personally don't like remarkable because of the subscription model. i have a kindle scribe which is good but i like the boox tablet becuase you can download any app like notion one note anki. tbh anki on andriod is similar to the ipad just a worst version compared to the laptop one but is ok for reviewing.

Yeah I heard that you have to pay a subscription to transfer files or soemthing dumb like that, I am looking at the m1 airs as well and I was originally planning on getting an m1 iPad but I have been really swaying between iPad and an e-ink. I’ll look into the scribe and boox. I appreciate the reply and thanks for your help!
