No, the bomb did not end World War II. It was already over. The surrendering of the Japanese was already on course and it was sped up by the fast Soviet offensive over the Manchukuo in the August Storm Operation of the Red Army, lead by Vasilievsky. The bomb was to threat the Soviet Union, not to defeat the Japanese.

That guy who pushed bomb with carry was one most badass since.. I understand it's just fiction and animation, weight almost 6 ton's and device that dangerous and so expensive weren't put on free wheels like in this video.
