Why Don't They Launch Rockets From reusable lighter than air balloons that take them as high as possible before firing the rockets?

The cope in the comments is hilarious. One day even they will have to realize how much of a fraud he is in reality.

RFA methodology seems like what most manufacturers are doing with their processes. Optimizing using AI for specific use cases. Huge Rocket Lab fan and now Im a huge RFA fan. ❤

Honestly, RFA has a lot of passion and you can clearly see that they are optimizing everything around low cost, maximum efficiency and passion.

RFA going the Atlas/SpaceX route. Not a bad decision tbh. Stainless is cheap and sturdy - that would be why Starship is made out of the stuff too. Edit: I just love RFA's attitude about this. "There's all this experience out there, how about we tap into that? Companies already make hundreds of thousands of cars a year, why don't we let them do a lot of the work, instead of hurting our heads trying to figure out how to do things?"

And this is why he's successful. He contemplates outside thought, he admits failure and corrects mistakes while giving the credit to the individual responsible.

Idk why i end up watching this channel every day. I think its because i truely appreciate youre interest in a cool subject but also how conscise you explain topics that likely took you a lot of work to actually understand. Another 10/10 long video.

The Apollo 1 astronauts died from inhaling toxic smoke venting into their life support system. Their space suits protected their bodies from the flames' heat. Even if both astronauts were engulfed in oxygen enriched flames during the ejection, their suits will keep them safe enough to pass through the flames. Perhaps just their top layers would be charred.

Both have incredibly intelligent ways of going about it. RFA has it right to leverage the incredible manufacturing already present in other industries but only if they make the correct concessions and override their algorithm when necessary. For now the most recent thing I can find about them is from March saying that their flight has been delayed. ISAR's taking a huge risk, the investment of resources and time to create a production line that works with all the other companies gunning for the same pot is immense. But yeah, vertical integration can be incredibly powerful when competitors don't. But again, not knowing where to make concessions limits flexibility and cost benefits. Even Apple, the paragon of Vertical integration in tech doesn't make 100% of their devices if someone else can make it better at the scales they need.

Good grief, five years later and we are still waiting for the first launch of the New Glenn, we might see the first launch in 2026! Meanwhile Falcon Heavy has had 9 successful launches so far and 3 test launches of Starship plus a test launch of SLS! I think this video was a little premature! :-)

Not sure if that’s gonna work out. Notice the flames from the Raptor engines could melt the Booster’s wings (or whatever it’s called). The exhaust from the Raptor engines can melt or bend the wings of the Booster. Tell the Booster Engineers to go back to the Drawing board & fix the Raptor engines flame 🔥 on the booster wings. Sorry great idea 💡 but it’s not gonna work.

You mean the grid fins? The grid fins are literally meant to survive Entry speed and Tons of drag, as that's what they're meant for They're only gonna be in flame contact for a couple of second, You're saying it doesn't work, but it does, twice, hell the fail they had which Makes the Ship doesn't seperate literally make the starship burn on Hot staging without seperating, and it doesn't do anything to the booster.
