The weapons and movement felt so good in this one! With the reveal of Tribes 3, to build upon Trivbes: Ascend, I come back to watch some T:V gameplay and just realise that I wish they would build upon this game instead.

Men I loved Tribes Vengeance as a kid. I still remember the campaign being challenging for me at the time (Julia’s test especially), but the movement and overall uniqueness of it all made me replay it like 1000 times. The multiplayer was also fun, although I was too occupied with original Battlefront 2 at the time.

The new game doesnt even come close to how this mod felt, i miss it so much 😢

I'm super picky about what I think makes a good game and this is the first FPS I've seen released in many years that I actually think is good. The first clip I love how it shows the scale of the forces rushing into the front line, it feels so awesome with so many people. The first clip also shows how fun and funny it can be being revived by medics. Being a medic is actually my favorite class now. The second scene shows how cool it is to be up in the helicopter. And the third scene shows a moment when I came across a huge amount of the enemy team at a far distance and I ended up going 40 and 11 that round, unfortunately the third clip didn't capture my entire spree from that prone position but I went through 3 45 round mags before any enemies spotted me and I got a ton of them, it was awesome. I love how the game has bullet projectiles instead of insta-scan hits. It's so much more fun and realistic to actually have to lead shots at far distance. I also love how you can move your gun from side to side when you aren't looking down the sites, you don't have to turn your whole view from left to right to do minor close range aiming. It's not quite as good as the side to side aiming in Insurgency, but it's still wayyy better than no side to side aiming like most FPS games have. The dying voice chat is super fun too, and the sheer scale of the matches, 127 vs 127, makes the game feel so incredibly alive and organic, I love it so much. So many funny usernames, and so much light hearted enjoyable mic banter and music. Everyone has a good attitude and honestly it's the most fun FPS game that I've seen in probably 10 years. The destructible environments are so awesome too, reminds me of BFBC2 in a lot of ways. And the amount of gun customization is pretty amazing too.

The nerf to heavies and useless base building or defences limited this game. Cheaters and team stacks killed it.

I'd love to get a crt tv for nostalgia gaming.

I found my PS1 and booted up FF7 for the first time in about a year and I got to a new section. I had been stuck not knowing where to go, so thats cool, was almost ready to be a failure and look at a walkthrough but by golly I figured it out. it looks so cool on the official hardware it was made for. Too bad I cant upgrade to a bigger tv with component in and S-video and RGB and all that for the ultimate CRT experience, but its still pretty damn amazing on a trinitron, especially given that I got this one from the dump, great picture quality, not overly worn out at all. These things are becoming rare collectors items. And my dad helping me move one day put a huge dent in one corner but thankfully it still seems to run perfectly fine. Sometimes the screen looks like its not aligned properly but then when it fully warms up it looks like it lines up again how it was supposed to along the edges. I wanted to get some good way to stream it so chat can help me play on youtube or on twitch. But I don't know what the best screen capture hardware would be to use for this setup, I'll have to look into it. The main output if red yellow and white cables for left and right audio channels and one yellow for the video channel. So whatever capture card would have to accept those, and then get a splitter so it could split half the signal into the capture card and the other half to the TV to actually play the game.

Just got through this. Must really play without cheats otherwise you will *not* be allowed to continue with TRIP.

Hey Chompo, I can see that this is running at pretty much unlocked FPS without the weird CPU speed glitches. How'd you do that? Do you just run it in a Glide wrapper and that's it?
