Great app. There are other apps that can do these things, but Note to Be has a great workflow and is very easy to change settings on the fly for live use, and the option to use BrainBud to control the scales across multiple Bud apps which combine well with this is a nice touch.

This rant hit home with me. Love to sing but lacked some confidence as I started recording regularly. Went down the tuner path for a bit (Grallion & Crispy Tuner) but would get weird sounding artifacts. The fact of the matter is, as a self taught musician, I am not always in the key I think I am in, and that became especially true as I made it standard practice to tune down all my guitars a 1/2 step. All these things suck if they are not set to the proper key. Even with Tunebat double checking the key for me, I didn't like the artifacts I could still hear, especially on vibrato parts, even with very light "tuning." Bottom line is I've learned to sing with confidence and sing the part until I get it right, and trust my ear when I do.

It would be nice to hear it when using it in a scale. You are sending notes that are out of scale making it sound like your laying on the keyboard. I’d love to hear how powerful this with out random notes being put in

Interesting to get your "hot take" on apps that you don't use a lot, and others that you will keep. We're pretty closely aligned on the ones that you decided to keep, so that's pleasing. Good stuff!

Hey, this should work with Garageband´s smart Instruments also, right?
I find Melovox pretty useful for learning more about harmonies and scales on my guitar. I don’t sing, but it has an algorithm to use it with instruments too and i think it is one of the best pitch shifters that i have in my arsenal now. It is incredibly inspiring and educational in my opinion. Just like you mentioned, all these great tools and apps we have these days are great for enhancing our performances and teaching us more about music theory and to understand more what we’re doing and to get better. But it won’t fix a bad performance, and I am glad it doesn’t. Just as with most things it takes time and effort to learn to sing or play and understand an instrument properly. There is no instant gratification and there shouldn’t be imo.

Really appreciate your discussion about vocals tonight - so important to discuss the slides and vibrato versus notes that stay on one note and how harmony apps won’t be working well unless you have solid notes

@@JadeStarrOk must of had a glitch as it working now. Chordjam feeding Take Midi on same track into Pianoteq 8 all inside Logic Pro for iPad. Drag and drop working. That saves on adding an audio track with midi fx to record out sweet.

This was so cool and a ton of fun Jade. Love to see how you’re having an absolute blast with these thrash and death metal classics. Especially how you throw in a german accent for Kreator and Sodom hahah. The King Diamond one cracked me up. Carnivore, Deicide and Carcass were crushing 🤘💀🤘 Awesome performances and your range of vocal styles really make this so damn good! 🧠🫁🤘🤩🤘🔪🦴 Dark Angel, Napalm Death or Obituary maybe for part 3? Are you a Pungent Stench or Pestilence fan too? OUT OF THE BODY!!! These thrash (death) metal specials are the damn best! ✨🌟😈🌟✨

I like the smell of metal in the morning 😁 well done. Fun again to watch. Respect for the KD, that's no fun to sing 😂 and finally some germans. Looking forward to the 3rd one. Can I request a track? Exhorder - Ripping Flesh, please. 3 minutes fun. Think about it
@EdBMetal4 күн бұрын
Right on brother. This was more fun than the Summerbreeze stream or what? Although Asphyx and Sodom were awesome🤘🤪🤘 Good call with Exhorder! Man german thrash is just KILLER 🍻🍻 Ever listened to DeadHead? Those guys were a very local band for me back in the days. They’re still kicking ass.
@forestofthewolfofficial4 күн бұрын
@@EdBMetal definitely more fun. Just sad its impossible to watch live. Yeah we know how to Thrash here. But you know what,my favorite Thrash Band is dutch (Legion Of The Damned ),because they listened their Slayer and Kreator Albums well and also they stand in producing of their Albums above the rest. This really slaps. I never heard of DeadHead but will check it out later the day Brother. You check out Annexation ( from Berlin, Debut is exactly how i want my Thrash Metal) Enjoy the day
