Something that i wanted to point out, since i think it kinda flew under your radar, is this Cristina D'avena's album you see at 20:20, Duets. The songs featured in this album are some of her most iconic and appreciated openings, but the catch is that every single one features another famous italian singer, so you have all those popular artists actually singing anime themes. PS: There's even a volume 2.

To give some credit you could not convince me that Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog 1 looked a little purple.

Similar to Aqua Teen Hunger Force; Mission Impossible 3 had a similar gimmick. I am not sure what city, but the marketing team did something to the phones that made them play a recording of a common line from the series "This mission, should you choose to accept it...This message will self destruct in 5 seconds" followed by rapid beeps, I believe an explosion sound, and the theme song. This was all the sounds coming from public telephones, and it made many people frightened and mistook it for bombs. Actual bomb squads were called in until they eventually deduced that it was just a stunt for Mi: 3.
