81 MAICO MC 490, was the best open class 2 stroke MX bike. You could drive a 180° corner in 4th gear, open the throttle and it goes forward like a rocket. 81 Twin Shock MAICO's had also the best handling 1981. My father, a 12 times ISDT driver ( scrambler from 1949 till 1986 ) was MAICO maindealer in North Germany.
