WELL IM BACK. I have been in HYBERNATION since the DA2. I have not searched DRAGON AGE in depth since ORIGINS. I just want to say. VEILGUARD will be a Damn good game. Im calling this WAY BEFORE it even comes out. READ ON: THE DA2 COMBAT COMBO is called CROSS CLASS COMBO. DA2 has the best OVERALL COMBAT in the SERIES. Both DA2 and INQUISITION I GRADED 7.5 in its released vanilla version and I rescored both at 8.5 After all the DLC. In DA2the LEGACY DLC was the best DLC in the whole series. But DA ORIGINS was my best score wver for all video games at 9.7. NOW LETS dive into this. I ABOSLUTELY WATCH this whole video and very good observation. The points are well taken and I do agree with the release of the GAMEPLAY. Though one can simply think THIS IS A MARKETING PLOY. Afterall GAME INFORMER has release morsals of information occasionally. ALSO EA is as greedy of a company as it gets one thing for sure they would not let BIOWARE and this tome one of their LEGACY FRANCHISE fail. $$$$ All about the money. ALSO in retrospect After DA2 I Never understood why the COMPANION AI got dumber. I AGREE WITH HER. Both ORIGINS n DA2 had the PRESET companion CONTROLS dialed in. It made the gameplay very intuative. IN ORIGINS Ince the encounter starts The MAGE IDENTIFIES a selected rank enemy/character then curses them for a crit on every hit. In DA2 a mage PETEIFIES THE ENEMY and A ROGUE executes ASSASINATE for 10x the DAMAGE!!!!!! This disappeared in INQUISITION. Though INQUISTION did introduce the FADE TOUCH MATERIALS amd Crafting. Why cant they combine all of this and remaster DA2 since the gamplay was OUTSTANDING!! With this said VEILGUARD at minimum will have some of this very features in the game and its not hard for me to get sucked in. JUST FOLLOW THIS: PLEASE have the switchable weapons back. PLEASE CORRECT THE CHARACTERS MOVEMENT and Animation. The males are too FEMININE in INQUISITION. LOOT… FOR HEAVENS sake CAN YOU GUYS PLS Have a interesting LOOT. Make it a bit more useful and meaningful. In both DA2 and INQUISTION its 10% epic loot or trash. And mostly it was trash. PLS PLS add the RANDOM ENCOUNTER EVENTS. It makes the game very thrilling. In ORIGINS Depending on how the sequence is on the map while travelling you get the random encounters. DA2 also depending in the sequemce and events. But INQUISITION is so railed. In fact you will be unlocking this particular emcounter so it’s predictable. ALSO LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST OPTIONAL BOSSES. DA2 was really greet at this from HUBRIS TO MALVERNIS. Awesome ridiculously chsllenging bosses!!!!! DM ME if you guys want to know about my character ORIGIN. Happy GAMING!!

I really am excited and concerned like you said they showed way too much story, they should have just focused on gameplay. I feel like they should have release small videos of gameplay and allow feedback from fans to help improve it. The ability wheel was very concerning as we couldn't see any special abilities and that annoys me. As for Fall 2024 absolutely not it will come out somewhere around March-June 2025. I really pray Bioware and EA have things under control cause I'm gonna be so heart broken if it fails

When we meet solas he is helping varric fight demons. The first tip is he knows the most about the mark and seems evasive. I had read a mage betrays us again on Twitter before playing inquisition so I was reading into it but solas was stand offish to me. Red flag two. Solas has an argument with Cole where Cole keeps saying he likes demons and his reaction makes him look suspect. Flag three.

THANK YOU so much for pointing out how limited this gameplay preview was in regards to actual gameplay!!! Your comments are so on point. So many people are overlooking this, it’s crazy. We only saw a LEVEL ONE, one class, one ability, no companion control, no combos, no true strategy either… it was underwhelming and repetitive hacking and slashing. Also the enemies were uninteresting and again, too cartoony/juvenile styled not horrifying or intimidating. Imo this preview was not it. I feel they’re just trying to hook our nostalgia for old characters in this (what should be called STORY preview) rather than show us actual content. The game needs to stand on its own and so far it’s faltering.

Good to see you back MD, it feels like it's been 20 years since I first came across your channel around the same time you uploaded the first Mass Effect Talks videos. I definitely feel you on the DA2 vibes, but also getting a lot of ME2/ME3 vibes in some of the gameplay and world design aspects which is interesting. So for some more fun context to your thoughts, whilst I'm not working at Bioware I have an idea of where development is at through old industry friends that are. They absolutely could have showed higher level gameplay, this is not a case of them only having the start of the game in a presentable state for something like this. They (BioWare/EA whomever is in charge of marketing beats) actively chose the weird marketing they've been doing. The new (not terrible but worse) name, the weird (not terrible, but just ill advised) reveal trailer, and now this not terrible but kind of nothing gameplay trailer. We already knew through public information that this was going for a more action, somewhat spectacle fighter inspired gameplay design so that wasn't a surprise. We found out that it's pretty, and that story stuff will indeed happen. But that's about it, level 1 gameplay was absolutely not the right decision and it baffles me. As for your thoughts about the release date, I don't have huge worries in terms of the game being content complete in fall, it's more if they will be happy with the polish levels at the time or if they will want to put it back in the oven for a month or two for a spit shine. I would give it a solid 50/50, but highly doubt we will see big delays even if there is one. The team seems pretty confident, probably the most confident BioWare has been for at least a decade.

...They are not by any stretch showing Solas as gray. They're literally showing us what he explicitly TOLD us in Trespasser. He KNOWS that tearing down the Veil will destroy the world and kill a lot of people. He's doing it for the sole purpose of recreating the world of a thousand years ago. He's not somehow doing something he HAS to do because there is no other choice - he's literally just decided to be OKAY with killing untold numbers of people as the price of restoring his own world. How is that supposed to be interpreted as a good thing or at a morally gray thing??? What they're showing us is a man totally lost to his own hubris.

FYI, you really didn't need to fret so much over people not seeing your cursor. It was extremely clear which part of the wheel you were talking about, I mean, there was no confusion about what you meant just from your first mention. I'm prepared to bet that the game is going to come out this fall. I don't think what they showed meant that they COULDN'T show something later, just that the marketing team is, well...not very competent.
