Hi, After watching another of your videos can I please ask a question ? it’s regarding registering as a camper van, in the comments you said to a poster who was refused, he might be better off leaving it registered as a van but didn’t explain why, I was going to try and get my Vivaro registered as a camper but after reading your comment I need to know if there is a downside to being registered as a camper, any advice or information would be gratefully received 👍🏻

You can get clamp-on connectors for the LED terminals but they don't always hold up to vibration. Keep the strip of lights accessible so you can replace them when they fail. If you have a heavy diffuser it helps to hide dead spots though. A good reason to make them indirect lighting so you can't see this too.

We have similar 2 wire led strip they can be dimmed, we used a touch switch from Camper Interiors but Amazon sell similar ones. Well worth a dimmer, as they do use some watts on full power.

If the led’s go you just change the whole strip. If you have a manufacturers name you should be able to google the details on dimming and possibly having control over colour. LED - light emitting diode changes colour in line with voltage modulation (I think) but check it out for sure

Hi Mel, do you rent the workshop? I plan to buy and convert a van myself but I have nowhere to do it and not sure where to even look for places like yours. It's very difficult as I live in block of flats and I don't even have a parking space. I could potentially live in my van as I build it but I can't do that until it has at least insulation and walls ceiling and floors done. The rest would be manageable on the road I guess with a power bank and cheap tools. It's very overwhelming when there is no support available. I still want to do it somehow. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Or maybe you know somene who would do or help with the insulation etc. I don't have much money but could try and save or something I don't know. Trying not to give up hence asking.

Hi can I just say years ago I moved into a new build and after a year we had mice as were near country had to get a professional in to sort out the mice and I said can't see how and where they are getting in . In his words if you can get a pencil in a hole then that's where they are getting in so don't think it has to be a big hole good luck with the hunt

Hi Mel, you can but connectors for the tape led strips, corner connectors etc, there is usually a scissor line where you can cut these. I know you ha e wifi in your vans so if you had an alexa in there you could use smart switches etc to operate things, may even be able to get a dimmable smart switch,

Bought one and used deeply for more than one month. Test results: I'm super happy! The ratio value for money is outstanding. Minor (very minor) drawbacks: 1. long (long) waiting time for receiving accessories from Fiido 2. The torque sensor is not so sensitive, but I can survive with it 3. Some text on the display is very minuscule and hard to read. 4. unmounting the battery for recharging it in the apartment is a little complicated. But, as I said, this bicycle is fantastic, both in the city and out of it. P.S. About point point 4. above: the customer service is good. They answer in 48h. They promptly modified the electric lock of the battery on all bicycles after I was reporting a problem, and also sent me the upgraded software and a new locking mechanim in few days (directly from China! I'm impressed!).

Hi Mel. We've been using a 240 volt fridge in our van for a couple of years now. Powered by a 2000 w inverter. The fridge is an A++ rating so very economical power wise, and our inverter uses very little power when not "working" The main reason for getting the 2000w inverter is that compressor fridges need a lot of power when the compressor kicks in. Our fridge was about £9O from Amazon a couple if years ago. So well done for making people aware they don't need to spend loads of money on a campervan soecific fridge.🙂👍
