My favorite release this month was definitely Right Place Wrong Person by RM. It is a masterpiece, no notes. I loved Aespas Titletracks but the album was SO FUCKING MID. I am like, actually mad at SM for fumbling so hard when you have a title like Armageddon for an album. This was their first full length album and it is just not at all what it could have been. I hate that they put the worst tracks at the end of the runtime, I feel like with that kind of opening and title you HAVE to end on some kind of highlight. I also hate that they used AI in the MV, it would’ve been PERFECT otherwise. Also, loved TripleS‘ album. A lot of their bsides feel kinda mid to me most of the time but this release had a good amount of nice tracks (my favorites being Chiyu and White Soul Sneakers). I like the new NewJeans song but not a whole lot, the sound is good but boring which is disappointing bc NJ is one of my favorite groups ever. Loved XGs new track, the styling is excellent. Accendio by IVE was amazing and I am so excited to see them live in two weeks 🥳 it will be my first ever kpop concert :)

@@jungkookluvie Yes 😭 The lyricism is as usual straight up poetry. I also always LOVE the features he chooses for his songs. Little Simz is one of my favorite features he‘s ever had. I love how the songs flow into one another and how he sometimes has very stark musical switch ups in the songs (for example groin), it keeps you so invested when listening. The main question the album poses (what is right and wrong and how do people and places interact with it) is also a strong theme through all the tracks and he gives a variety of answers (as I said, poetry). It‘s so damn good. And the music itself is as you said really well produced and I love that he uses a lot of unusual textures in the mixes (for example in the middle of Around The World In A Day). All in all instantly became one of my favorite albums ever released. I am in love.

Re: aespas album SO true. Like I was so hyped after supernova bc that’s like the perfect sound for aespa imo. I actually couldn’t believe my ears listening to Prologue, Live my Life , and Melody back to back to back. It’s just generic mid tempo western pop??? Why did they do that????

@@Yeri-strawberry yes :( I do not understand. Even Set The Tone, Mine and Licorice. Because they go into the same sound as Armageddon but are not as good, the three songs somehow take away from eachother? Idk how to explain it but I don‘t like to listen to the beginning of the album chronologically because the songs sound bland next to one another when they don‘t individually. I really can not explain what it is exactly, but yeah, the album is just really badly constructed with a lot of mid sounds and very few good moments aside from those banger tts.

Me: -GOD TIER 1. Passionfruit (words cannot discribe my love for this song. Its one of my most streamed songs on spotify next to yes or yes and After like. the chorus is so addicting. 100/10) 2. Roller coater (What can i say this is just heaven to the ears! that outro is amazing, the mv, baes lines, the chorus, just all awesome! 11/10) 3. Dice (The song that made me stan them ITS SO GOOD! sad jini left cause she owned this era. The rap is amazing, the highnote, the intro all awesome! 10.7/10 4. Dash (So addictive and again the change up is amazing! jiwoo and kyujin really shined this era imo! 10.5/10 5. For me I’ll give a few of my groups I stopped stanning - Blackpink: I enjoyed their music up until kill this love, After that their music began to get too westernized for me and made me frustrated because I fell in love with Kpop due to the amazing Kpop concept and Korean styled and since Blackpink began to get very popular in America they started heavily transitioning to a much more westernized style which I don’t really vibe with as much…. Also don’t even get me started with BLINKS (I understand not all blinks are toxic) but blinks have been 90% of the reason why I unstanned Blackpink to began with. -Dreamcatcher: they are such a talented group and I use to love them soooo much but their songs just haven’t been my taste of music the past couple years. Secret number: it all went down hill for me once Denise left… since she left it’s been like Secret number just has this void in the group and their songs just haven’t been hitting the same without Denise. -gidle : same situation as secret number just hasn’t been the same since Soojin left -Bts; Pretty much the same reasoning as Blackpink their songs have gotten way too westernized for me aswell as their song have been extremely bland and forgettable the past few years… but the main reason i unstanned was due to Army’s.

That’s not it, I was in the same boat I use to stand Blackpink and then I stanned them for one of the mainl reason was for the fandom….im seeing that due to the fact that I cannot enjoy Blackpink let alone kpop as a whole anymore because every video have blinks in the comments spreading hate no matter if that video is about Blackpink or not…. So it’s kinda hard to stann a group and focus on that group when all i ever see on my timeline are being starting unnecessary drama…like honestly im very close to even cut out Kpop as a whole because mainly blinks but the fandoms as a whole(NOT all) the Kpop community for the most part are the most childish immature and entitled people I’ve ever seen and I’m ready to just unstan the entire genre at this point.
