It's still hard to take in❤ is 20 years ago this year, and I was 11 when it happend, and one of my brother's classmate , emma 14 years old became an angel in the tsunami❤. I was lucky that no one in my family was in Thailand that day❤ May god be with you 543 Swedish souls❤. Many in Thailand opend their home's and gave clothes, food and other stuff to take care of Swedish turists, who was hurt, while the Swedish guvement were on vacation.😮

Just a quick note that this isn’t Thailand. It’s Sri Lanka. The footage is of Hotel Triton (now Heritance Ahungalle) on the south west cost of Sri Lanka.

When I reached 3 yo my parents wanted to travel to Koh phi phi for a few days for vacations as they lived in Thaïlandia. They ultimately didn't go there because the day they had to take the airplane, I got a high fever and vomitted. Crazy how small details can make a big change.

Volunteered for 8 weeks with local dive guru Andrew from England and with many other amazing folks from around the world after that on Phi Phi for cleanup...bodies, bones, and tons of debris in the bay...serious work underwater...recovery of personal items for locals and foreigners...tough going at times and very saddening

True story, I was travelling with mates and was supposed to be in Phi Phi on the morning of the Tsumani. We got so drunk in Koh Phangan on Christmas Day, we missed our early morning flight to Phi Phi. Mid afternoon I went down to get some food and saw everyone standing around the TV's, and after checking my phone (old Nokia) I had like 30 missed calls from family to see if we were ok. Crazy to think we would have been on Phi Phi if it wasn't for alcohol!!!
