I still remember the old cartoon paper boxes of the vintage radio tubes especially the green eyes .. Wow it was a beautiful time in my childhood paticularly in the winter days when I was sitting on the carpet and having my dinner sandwichs beside the vintage big radios and the green eye ! 🌹👍 🙏 Thanks Albert !

Very nice radio. I got hand on a defective one for 120 €. Restauration took a lot of time and effort. But it was absolutely worth it.

Spare parts ? No my friend, our radios are ready to be used other 50 or 70 years without any problem. The only spare parts that you could need would be some tubes and dial bulbs in the future because you could need replace them in some years, maybe in 10 or 15 years you could need replace some tube. We have enough tubes and dial bulbs. This is not a problem. And the cost is around 10 eur for each tube. The other parts: speakers, buttons, knobs....will have a longer life than your or mine. But if it should be necessary, we have enough pieces in our storage for all radios that we offer in the shop. We always have 2-3 same models radios in our storage only for pieces for each radio that we offer in the shop.

It uses 3D effect sound. Very similar than the modern stereo sound. It is an amazing radio. maybe the best Loewe tube-radio

Nice radios, what do you think about gavotte 1153 or 1253 they have fine tone control as old models ?

or 10631153 and 1253 are the WORST because Telefunken used the modern plastic circuit board (like a Computer or TV circuit board) for the first time in a tube-radio. The circuit boards were very cheap but they were not a good idea in a Tube-Radio because the tubes are very hot and the heat break the pastic easily and then most of this radios have bad contacts in the plastic circuits boards The circuit boards were the beginning of the decline in the quality of these radios.. Don´t buy any 1153 or 1253 ! , You should buy the older models that use a iron , chassis that is perfect for the tubes:models , ,

@@AntiqueRadioShop Thank you for your opinion, I love tube radios and i like working on them, I wanted to buy 1153 or 1253 and restore it but i will think about that after you said this... I have Nordmende Elektra E13 that I restored (also on a printed circuit board) in everyday use for 5 years now without problem, so I thought Telefunken Gavotte 1153, 1253 will be the same or even better quality because Telefunkens are much more expensive than any Nordmende...

Hi albert : good explaintion, but as I told you before most buyers don't know how to handle the vintage old technology and the new technology too. So, why don't you fix the transmiter inside the back of the radio , I think it Would be more easier for the users !

We can send it to India. This radio is not very big so I could say that it would arrive in perfect condition to India because it will be sent carefully packed in our special wooden crade. Shipping cost to India would be 175 eur by India Post or 225 eur by FEDEX
