When they first showed her face...that smile...that voice. Huh??? What a gift to have "that sound". My jaw dropped too.

She’s amazing…..but can she play drums? 😂😂😂😂😂just kidding
@Perfect_BlendКүн бұрын
Afraid not...she plays keyboards.

@@Perfect_Blendnice selection PB. You know my preference but Harriet is a close second. Oh and she does play drums but primary are guitar and keyboards. LOL I’ve seen that question a lot in her comments. It’s like they never look at her videos and see the set right behind her or to the side. I’m stepping back or I’d have countered with “Eyes.” LOL Joe
@Perfect_Blend14 сағат бұрын
@@jbs256 Maybe she isn't often shown playing drums because she doesn't want that connection to be a focus? I have only seen videos of her on keyboard, which is cool because it's NOT a distraction.
@jbs25614 сағат бұрын
@@Perfect_Blend she’s said that she “could keep a beat” so obviously not yet. There’s a cameo in “Crazy On You” but only a playful tap on the cymbals. But the guitars there is serious. Her strength. I’m not sure I’ve seen Harriet on keyboards but you know more than me. Either way two serious talents.

I was honored to sing with the Carpenters in dec 74. I was one of the kids in the Sing, Sing a Song chorus in California. I remember her vocals just giving me goosebumps. Hearing Tori did the same thing! In between early and late shows, I remember sitting in the empty theater while Karen jumped onto the Drum Kit and just destroyed it!

Yes, shout out to the extras for freeze framing while Barry was "singing" and dancing with all that passion. Always fun to see versions of songs I've grown up with and seeing your perspective and knowledge in such a fun way. Thanks.

Been a fan of mushroomhead for about 20 years. A word of caution, though. The sort of “belchy” way Krang sometimes talked in TMNT was probably achieved by talking while inhaling, which I’ve read can be very bad for vocal health long term. (Referred to as “inhales” in harsh vocal terminology.)

Harriet is a very sweet, humble, extremely talented singer/songwriter in London. This is one of her originals and she also does TikTok covers of Carpenters songs and other 70's music. Nice reaction.

Dude, thanks for this reaction! I first heard this song in the early 90 while listening to their music on a walkman in a school bus! Blind Guardian are legend! They created the genre of "Power Metal" in the 90s! Most of their early works are heavily influenced by JRR Tolkien, just like "The Bards Song". They are nothing but Legend!

Great review! Sinatra is making, a legend. Do you like the Sinatra Duet with Ella Fitzgerald “The lady is a tramp”? I love that. Did you ever listen to the progressive band YES? I’d be very interested to hear what you think about some popular YES songs. The singer Jon Anderson has a very distinctive voice. Please do some reviews if you can or want to. Thanks!

Of the various recordings of this song by Sinatra - studio and live concert performances - this one from 1978 is the most atypical. It's quite noticeable how much he plays around with the lyrics, the melody and the timing from those other performances. Not sure why he did it.
