5uanks for that. Was a student from nyu in summer of 89! I was 27. I split from the gang during a three day break. I made my way to Bob Scott's both and just fell in love with it. I loved seeing it again. Tx for posting it! I'm a 62 year old female with a broken tibia, so nice to join you guys!,

Walked the RRW this year in April/May. Wonderful experience to see the Highlands in spring time (compared to autumn on my West Highland Way trip last year). Really enjoyed both of my times in Scotland hiking through the Highlands and visit afterwards Glasgow and Edinburgh. With Robert Burns I can say, "my heart's in the Highlands". Thanks for sharing your video. Greetings from Poland.

Hats off to the three of you Eddie you are a tough as they come! I did -70f windchills once as a lineman, the coldest I have ever been out in, the hydraulics on the bucket truck would not work so I had to climb poles to put the wires back up that has snapped in the cold, happy memories those 1980 winters! Some stunning views in that blue sky! Wonderful to see the three of you out! Take care, Ossie

Nice one Eddie and friends, that looked really cold up there with the wind. I like that orange tent, it's good to see a proper tent high up in the hills! 👍😁

It's a solid 3 man tent for sure. I have the Kuiu storm star which is a fantastic summit tent. The scarp 1 is a great all round tent. Winter cold without the snow is a bummer lol. ATB.

Wonderful to see the three of you out Eddie! Very nice hike with some great views. My walks are shorter but I try and go more often, the does are having their fawns and I've been looking for them, so far they have eluded me. We had a crazy winter with little snow but spring rains are helping to keep us out of a drought. I turn 71 next week and I am feeling the years. Take care, Ossie

I have been going up there every year of my life since I was a kid and about 45 minutes away from where we live. Its actually The Matahorn of the North but Julie is far too nice to argue with :o). Dam shame about the weather mind, I did the circular route of this about this time last year in glorious weather, shame you did not see it at its best. Newton Moor in the summer time is a riot of colour when all the heather is out and it you want a nice easy way up to Roseberry Topping the way you went up is the one, the other side is short but steep, all stone steps and lethal in the wet or ice. A cup of tea and a ham, cheese and tomato sounded just the job to me, cheers Alan

Hi Alan Julie probably said that and i paraphrased it. Weather wasn't too bad but i live in Glasgow where you might not see the sun for weeks at a time. Easy or difficult way up i just leave it too others and i slog on TBH. Weather turned very cold for Yeavering Bell. ATB.

Hi Eddie. Hope you're well. I was thinking about buying the Kuiu but there's very little UK info available. Only you and Donna Senior seem to use them. Would you recommend it as a 3 season tent? Also, do you think it would stand up to the Cape Wrath? Finally, does the doorway flap like a pigeon in a wheelie bin? All advice gratefully received mate. 👍

Yes!!! Great to see you 3 back out camping together - and a nice array of tents as well, I always liked the look of that MSR Sinc and Julie have now, and you know how much I love the Kuiu Eddie lol. The metal clips can be quite fiddly, especially with cold hands, getting that last one done can be awkward. The secret is to secure the 4 metal clips first, it gives you a bit more wiggle room, then clip the rest of the tent up. And when taking it down take those big clips off last. First on, last off. There's been a few times I've struggled with the last one and I've not bothered clipping it together and it's been fine mind. Nice to see you guys head to Rannoch later on, it looks a bit of a different layout to last time I was there 2yrs ago. Enjoyed the vid Eddie, hope to see you upload a bit more when you're able :) atb DVS
