@wm4126 I think it's a issue with the cutoff for voltage, my fridge also doesn't seem to run on a power station, it did for a bit then doesn't haha. It works now with my deep cycle battery tho.

Most power generators take 12 hours to fully recharge so either that is a lot of driving or leaving your car running

It is just so beautiful up there, Julianna! I'll bet Tuba and Taffy love having the water to cool off in! I was all on board until the snake thing on your arm! I know that it isn't a coral snake, but this city girl has a hard time telling the difference. Best of luck to you and your mom, and I hope the work at the KOA has been going well.

Maybe consider holding onto trailer? Yes the truck alone is easier and more mobile but the truck is old and will inevitably need repairs at some point, leaving you back to depending on the grace of others for a place to stay. Just something to consider.

@mcstraycat The problem with that though, is that the trailer without a vehicle, I can't tow. And it's a heavy trailer, I need a truck to tow it even the tundra shouldn't really be towing.

@@TheOverlanderNextdoorI see your concern and I honestly don’t know what the tow limit is on that model Tundra but if your trailer is too heavy then maybe a lighter trailer? Or keep looking for a more capable truck you can trade up to? There are lots of small teardrops for sale out there that are sub #3000 lbs. You said you have always wanted that truck but is it what you actually need? I full-timed for about 12 years in everything from a 36 ft 5th wheel to a truck camper in a 4x4 truck (my fave). I never had anything I couldn't detach if something broke. If the truck broke, drop the camper off at a park until truck repaired. If the camper broke, drop the camper at shop and camp in the truck. That redundancy just adds security and peace of mind, especially for us girls. I always know I have a locked door to retreat behind and a place to lay my head. Anything less is just too freaking stressful. Safe travels and good luck.

Your future plans sound very fitting! An off-grid farm w/ chickens, cows, horses & a pack of dogs. A life-long companion & a couple of rug-rats will keep you busy & entertained ALL DAY / EVERYDAY :). With enough real estate you can camp at home & on the road. Change is inevitable! With the changes, pls keep your channel to allow us to grow with you!

@jeffreyplumber1975 I love fulltime camping, but at the same time sometimes life goes a different direction. Life changes, who knows what the future holds. Edit- If I could afford it I would stay on the road but finding jobs has been impossible that allows me to travel the way I want.

Real and to the bone honesty, pure Julianna! I'll meet you to camp! You've seen my Tacoma and I'm one of those "good guys" you can trust. Trinity Alps has some great roads and the Lost Coast and Redwoods are not far from you now! And if headed into the northern Sierra I'm in Grass Valley.

Glad you are safe, just make sure you fix your brakes on camping trailer. Just keeping you informed that know the state locals. In CA, any camping trailer over 1500 lbs need brakes. Im learning as I keep upgrading my 5 by 8 utility trailer with a roof top tent
