As usual a great video, Jansen. You proved the practicality of a decent priced reel, which I am sure will prove a success for Shimano. Yet again, Seadra have produced a well designed piece of equipment and look forward to the final product being available from VMO. Thank you for sharing.

Great review and the reel looks an absolute bargain for a Shimano. If you don't mind me asking what type of glove do you use for casting and can you use it with braid as well as mono. Thank you

If the 2 lugs that slide up and down are made of plastic like the originals, then it's rubbish as they break. Lets hope not.

A great looking reel with a good spec. Thank you for sharing, Jansen and hope that VMO will let you do a proper field test with it in the same manner as you did with the Penn Tidal XT.

I would want to see it field tested and have a look at the line lay on it before Parting with that sort of money Jansen . We all know it’s a good brand, but is it worth the money? VMO should let you field test it really

Hello is this reel better than the "aero technium mgs 14.000 xsd" ? Ive had the PA xsa for over 15 years and it was an amazing reel.
@VealsMailOrder28986 күн бұрын
@@vdrtgplx584_ I’d say that unless you’re using ultra low diameter lines, the Power Aero would be the better reel in general. The oscillation on the Technium is so slow that thicker lines can lay on top of each other causing issues when casting.
@vdrtgplx584_17 сағат бұрын
Thanks for answering. I ordered two this week. They are beautiful but look a bit slimmer and less robust than my old XSA model from 2009. They do seem a bit lighter. I like to fish heavy current with 7oz sinkers. Do you think this reel can handle this well or is less recommended to extend its lifespan.

I can't pull the trigger on this one, the integrated/proprietary battery pack is a deal breaker. They should have just kept it the same as the HP30R, 2 standard 21700s.
@Mapantz18 күн бұрын
Are you sure that was 4000LM at 18:36? That doesn't look anywhere near what the spotlight was giving out at 15:04. Even the floodlight at 17:26 looks brighter. It doesn't look close to 4000LM output at 19:12. I don't think you had both on turbo, because the turbo result looks dimmer than each light on it's own.
@VealsMailOrder28988 күн бұрын

How can a tutor put the reel facing the butt. Some comments here opened my eyes , I confess.
@VealsMailOrder289810 күн бұрын
@@truthfinder6999 It doesn’t make any difference which way around the reel seat is positioned on the rod. The reel is facing the tip, not the butt.
