The extended float bowl is a ghetto hack to "fix" an unrelated problem, but doesn't actually fix it.

A 50’s rigid bantam with a D14 or B175 engine from ‘68-‘70 heavily modded. Not exactly standard. 😂

That looks like a genuine D1 1950 from the factory (0nly introduced mid-1949). Prior to then the road rigid was modified for off road. Can we see you on a big Ariel/Matchless/BSA Goldstar and see what you think about the weight!

But that isn’t a D1 engine… looks like a much later 175 (possibly with 4 speed gearbox?) to me. Lovely bike though. Thanks for a good video. Les

Oooh that’s a bugger! I lost mine once in a rally at sweetlamb. It was an old GoPro 3+ so not the end of the world considering how much I’d used it over the years. But was still a little annoyed. Great footage as usual great to watch to see what it’s like and so different to midlands trials.

Shame about the camera issues, as a Gloucester resident I enjoyed your daily coverage and congratulations on your achievement. As a former trials rider, I would love to ride again but I feel at 65 years old I don’t know whether I could do it. Maybe I trip to your shop might encourage me 🤔

Thank you very much! And we have customers in their 80's riding! If you have'nt been to a trial recently it might be worth going to watch a local one, its changed a lot in recent years and there really is a route for everyone these days.

Craig has entered the event 20 times and managed to get in 15 times. 9 of those times he was able to get in via the ballot and the other 6 times Craig has got in via going on the reserve list. Not many people chose to go onto the resevre list dues to family/work commitments as you might not know you have a ride up to a couple of days before the event!

How do you keep your feet dry with all the water sections, do you have multiple pairs of boots?

Craig just used the one pair all week and just accepts the fact you’re going to get wet feet. Even when using waterproof socks you’ll still find you go through such deep water it’s incredibly hard to keep the water out.
