Here’s my experience with this optic. I have the optic sit so low with no additional plate because it’s an RMR footprint and the auto brightness is useless because it’s sits lower than the slide blocking the sensor. Another con would be the brightness buttons don’t have anything preventing the buttons from being depressed which would allow changings of unwanted brightness settings. The battery that came with the optic already died after 4 weeks. I’m rather disappointed with my results!

@WisSota_Boy I can see that, thank you for the comments. That experience is important...the feature is really cool, I see a lot of benefit to it, but if it doesn't work then it's moot.

Would You recommend it for a 8.5 300 blackout build?

No issues, but they don't offer this rifle anymore. Watchtower Firearms took over F1 and it is now closer to the HSP model in their current inventory. Its been a great rifle, I added an aftermarket trigger and its smooth as glass.

Does anyone know if there’s a light for this gun that doesn’t touch the trigger guard as much?

There is no accessory rail by design. This is the only way I know how to attach a light.

It's like any red dot, what makes this different is the durability from a manufacturer for military use optics and the features it includes, auto bright, auto on/off, large field of view, and the durability to withstand the punishment for combat use.

Its wild, he put thousands of rounds through it in full auto, surpressed in a couple days, with very minimal cleaning and it functioned very well. He then proceeds to shit on it. Ive had a PSA 16" AR for 7 years and an 8.5" 300 Blackout for 2 years and had literally zero issues. PSA makes quality rifles.

The whole thing about triggers is germane on the range, but it doesn't mean squat otherwise. If you're in trouble, you draw, point and pull a trigger, the break and reset...all that crap is meaningless and to tell the truth, when watching these types of videos, I skip over all such dialogue and go to reliability, field stripping and accuracy. Although he could have had a defective firearm here. In my experience, the APX A1 had no trigger issues like the one he had here.

For me, this is an excellent home defense weapon. It is like a double action revolver, the trigger is also the safety. In times when your life is in danger, an adrenalin rush can easily result in an accidental misfire; although not totally improbable, with this weapon the probability is greatly reduced.

@geoff_tac unfortunately I was so damn irritated I sold them as is just not to see them again. Other than a micro dagger that the iron sights are so far off the rear is drifted that it looks goofy as can be. You have to use a red dot for it.

I recently purchased a new Taurus 942 Ultra Lite Revolver in 22LR. It was defective out of the box, would not ignite any primers. Sent it back to Taurus on Jan. 25, 2024. At the FOUR MONTH mark, and them having no idea when a new 22LR revolver would be ready ship to me,..they offered me a credit towards another Taurus handgun. I chose the TX22 because it seemed to have the least amount of problems of their product line. After a very long detailed discussion with customer service, they sent me an email confirming the TX22 be the replacement Received an email 2 weeks later that the 22 LR revolver was going to be shipped. Reached out to customer service AGAIN…oops they messed up. So the whole process will now start over. I sent my GX4 back twice by the way. I guess I don’t learn…crap is crap. That’s what they mean by “lifetime” warranty.

1:7 twist is not really standard. 1:8 or 1:9 are normal. 1:7 is short barrel or heavy bullet 70+gr.

Sorry, I meant standard in that, it's a common twist rate for a barrel, not mil standard.

I think years ago PSA’s freedom line was like their cheapest of the cheap uppers, and they probably have gone and done away with that terminology on their website, but you can pretty much guarantee. It’s their cheapest.
@geoff_tac2 ай бұрын
It is cheap, for sure...in an interview the CEO had an excellent quote. "I know what I need to make on each item. Don't ask why mine is so cheap, ask why theirs is so expensive."

problems with m9 in Afghanistan and Iraq had to do with the crappy magazines the government bought. Yes I carried it in those locations.
@andrewlightbody42212 ай бұрын
There was and is nothing wrong with the M9. Theres a problem with Army/military firearm maintenance. If you fire 30,000 rounds through a handgun over 30 years without replacing anything, some things are going to start to fail lol
