This was so much more helpful than your other video on the Watercolor Sticks, thank you so much. Much more sense. Thank you so much. On the first video I watched they looked not much different than Watercolor Pencils (of any kind) which actually didn't make any sense to me, especially coming from Daniel Smith. Please tell John that I appreciate this video very much. Oh and thank everyone else so much - I am so impressed by this video. What an awesome idea Caroline had, thank you for sharing. I also loved seeing her swatching techniques. I would love to know how she mixes, whether she uses the sticks directly on the paper, or whether she puts the colors onto a little palette together. And it was so helpful to actually see the paintings she did with the sticks. Thank you Caroline.

I love this. It reminds me of alcohol on Yupo paper. It is fantastic that we can do the same technique with watercolor.

Your brushwork and demo were definitely fantastic! It's impressive how you completed it in such a short time. Thank you. I found it fascinating that Juneau was home to some of the largest and most productive gold mines in history. Juneau seems like a place rich in history-I'd love to visit someday!

Thank you for your kind words.😊 I've loved Charlie Chaplin's films since I was a child, and I watched "The Gold Rush" several times when I was younger, but I only recently learned that the setting for the gold mining was in Alaska. This pump house is located on Douglas Island and is a sight that tourists on cruise ships to Juneau always see. Every time I visit this historic site, I experience a sense of awe..

I just have a small side comment outside the fantastic presentations and art everyone everyone talked about and showed today. Thank you for using good audio, it’s been so hard to listen to many of these wonderful presentations over the last couple weeks since I found this channel. It really is a huge help!

The sweetest painting, intriguing how you make design decisions as you go along. I would think that would take a lot of experience to know what works. It's appears to be a hospitality style.

Thanks Lynda, I've found if I explain my thought process it's easier for students to understand the why and how of my painting.
