Cheers, your desire to create value in the world is the entrepreneurial spirit! It used to be very common in America, and it has been suppressed by culture and systems that benefit from anti-competitive practices, but it cannot be held down forever. As the systems have become less effective, they are ripe for disruption--it just takes the right person to pursue the opportunity. Chase your dream, whether it's a thought leader or opening a store like you mentioned in another video.

Thank you for giving me a much needed dose of perspective. I'm currently working a job as a busboy, and I don't have any idea what I want to do with my life. Even if you haven't reached the point in your life where you can settle with what you're currently doing, just know that it eases my nerves regarding my own journey. I'm learning to be okay with it being long. It's powerful that you've accepted that it may be.

On this channel you always seem to touch the people when you share life realities and state of mind. So many struggle to find their way but won’t be vulnerable and admit it. Your videos openly show people it is more common than you think to feel certain ways Your quote about dying with nothing…. If social media doesn’t boom for you but you find joy and peace elsewhere, or within yourself thats also success

Thank you for uploading. This is important advice, I feel like especially for people coming out of relationships with narcissists. It leaves you reeling, shameful, and other really confusing feelings. You feel like an imposter even when you do good things for a while after getting out of that. It took forever to unlearn the feelings of shame.

Your example at around 2 minutes is a bit two sided tho. I used to be in a lot of social settings where people got annoyed by me talking too much or "being annoying". And while yes, I had to learn to listen more and talk less, I also learned that those people that I surrounded myself with were harsher, ruder and more toxic than others. I ended up finding friends that were more embracing of who I am instead of pushing me away or calling me annoying or telling me to my face "huh, yeah I stopped listening halfway through." A lot of insecurities arose in that time because those "closest to me" (family, class mates, etc.) treated me like I wasn't a part of their circle and like I was some vermin to be tolerated and "just ignored" rather than a person to be accepted and interested in. Sometimes, yes, you need to change something about yourself. Most times there might be a spec of truth to people telling you you're annoying, and there is some growth to go through. Just don't expect that the people who've always judged you so harshly will judge you any differently once you *have* gone through the effort of improving your social skills. They'll still treat you as if all your changes amount to nothing, as if you're still "not good enough," maybe that's because they don't believe that people can change and improve? Idk. But in that case, you need to change your "friends" and give yourself (and your self-hatred) time to heal. In any case, people who call you "annoying" are not those that are constructively trying to help you become better at social situations. They're a bad circle to be in. Get out of there. Take your lessons from it, but surround yourself with people that make you be better while not making you feel worse about not being perfect. That being said, I do agree with the rest of your video. Some good lessons in there. Treat yourself like you treat others is valid, but also, if people treat you the way you tend to treat yourself (hatefully), then get out of there. Surround yourself with people that treat you well. (And that you feel deserve to be treated well in return.) And take *them* as examples for how you should treat yourself and those around you.
@sleepfieldro
@sleepfieldro Ай бұрын
i appreciate this perspective, thank you for sharing! regarding the "annoying" bit, i was moreso saying if YOU dont like how you are acting, its worth trying to change. but if you dont believe you are doing anything wrong and you are getting unnecessary hate from your peers, then absolutely get some new friends!

Maybe people lock themselves in a certain future. Like having a particular hope that life has to be this certain way. I think maybe society has tricked people into thinking we have more control leading them to feel ungrounded. Maybe being grounded isn’t with hope but with gratitude at the present and having the mindset of being mindful. Maybe

I think it's okay for some people to just let go of a lot of things and live life. But for anyone that does want things to change or wants change for others, you can only be useful if you yourself are allowing yourself to enjoy things and be happy. So for those people there's a balance that has to be struck. I think a large issue for anybody these days is an overstimulation. So yeah limit social media use, online use in general. Give your brain a break from the constant stimulus of things that are either trying to sell you something or make you feel a certain way. Dive into things you're passionate about. Have things that bring you happiness or ignite you and carve out time for those things. I don't think the world CAN'T be changed, but the world will never be changed by people that can't embrace happiness and work on themselves or the people in their circle.

I’m sorry that happened to you bro. That must have been kind of traumatizing. Feels like a real stab in the back from people close to you. Don’t be embarrassed about it still being on your mind from time to time. I think That is totally normal, happens to me too. Bands are a weird space at times. In my experience I feel like the relationships are so fragile because its such a ego sensitive space. My high school band ended in kind of an ugly way too and they were close friends of mine also. They probably didn’t want to talk about it with you because of the shame and regret surrounding the situation. I know I would feel the same way. An impulsive decision made out of fear or anger or whatever that hurt someone they care about I am sure hurts them too even to this day. Hard to express my full thoughts in a comment. Love you bro
