The message was: so, Optimus was accused of being a problem to the American people, to which he said that he wasn't. They told him if he left, they would be better off. Optimus responded to this with a question, "what if we leave, and you're wrong?" Implying that he didn't do anything wrong and that he should be treated equal to humans...

Before aoe existed crosshairs appeared in the 2007 toyline looking like energon strongarm, also was gonna appear in the 2010 toyline looking like rotf rollbar that turned into a delivery van but got cancelled, as well appearing in the dotm toyline

He went from miner to gladiator to politician then to military leader of decepticons and as the times went by during the war he became lost in his quest for power and became a tyrannical ruler instead of the more honerable version of himself that just wanted change in society. (Originally cybertronian society had a similer concept to slavery and segregation where their alternative mode dictated your role in society. Megatron was essentially an expendable slave with ambition to change the way society worked. Optimus was one of the much more privileged bots who was defending the existing way of society)

Something somewhat unrelated to the meme but more related to the clip itself that not a lot of people talk about; People always give bay prime (mostly warranted) flak for being a killing machine, but in the first film he was very much like what we would come to expect, as pictured in this scene, he's grieving megatron and the cube as a whole. "You left me no choice, brother" And before you say "what about bonecrusher?" Bonecrusher in lore is a terrible bot, it's and prime gave him a relatively quick dispatching. Nothing overly sadistic like what he did to the fallen, just a quick beheading, which is one of the easiest ways to take someone out, a headshot. Saying optimus is a psycho for killing BC is like saying shooting a serial killer one and done in the dome is a horrific and objectionable thing- It really isn't as bad as you're making it out to be. And that concludes my TED talk. Thank you, lmao
