I used to love weather because we'd get a ton of thunderstorms every summer. Now they just fizzle out or move around my exact location. Like wtf. Now I hate weather.

just saw two string about 5 minutes apart. Around 16 in first string and 20ish 2nd string. Was around 9:15pm over Northeast Florida. Was a little freaky. Thought the Annunaki were coming back.

Another concern: I would LOVE to see you do a golfers forecast for the spring and summer the same way you do a skiers forecast during the winter. No one wants to be on the links in rain especially if there's lightning.

Any "chance" (LOL) that this stat could be revamped to allow for a better picture of what's really happening with the quality of outside time?

I saw (and photographed) it from Chattanooga, TN. You had a lot clearer weather than I did but I was able to follow the first stage's descent all the way down to the horizon. What a morning that was!

I just watched a string of at least 30 satellites cruise by at about 4am Pacific May 15, 2024, seen clearly from Salem Oregon with lots of ambient light. No pattern spacing but all very close. Moving in a east/northeast direction. I first observed them directly overhead and they were viewable for about 90 seconds fading into the eastern sky.

I've never seen these before and I think I just saw them tonight. 5/11/24. Your description comes the closest to what I saw but there were what appeared to be a lot more than you describe and it was 945 pm in southern Georgia. They were in the north west moving south west. Did anyone else see this?

I'm here because I was sitting at a stoplight last night around 9:30PM (an hour and a half after sunset) and a crackhead on a bicycle was pointing up at the skye in awe. I had no idea what I was seeing either, but I correctly assumed it was probably just Elon Musk.

I realized how easily impressed I was when 64% was "WOW THIS IS SO COOL" for me and 95% was so overwhelming I actually cried, both me and my mom had our mouths hanging open in a big goofy grin, I was like "I get it, I get why people say it's a life-changing experience", I never saw it get so dark in the daytime, the sun was shining but the ground didn't look like anything was shining on it, except I could still see shadows. What this told me is it was like I was being told "okay, Sally, you were this blown away by 95%, try to see 100% in 2045".

What I’m freaking out about is I wear glasses and I practiced putting them on over my regular glasses but I noticed I can still see a good amount out of the side of the glasses. I’m really worried that in the process of looking away ( with the glasses still on) I’ll get some of the eclipse with my beard eyes even if I’m not looking directly into it and that will mess up my eyes. Also, how do I know if the eclipse glasses are wrinkled? They’re like 3D lenses and that material always looks wrinkled

I tried to convince my mom for one week to drive the 1-2 hours to totality and she still said no. I even tried to say that totality is a different experience but I’m gonna have to wait the 20 years for totality. And you might be like “Well why didn’t you drive?” IM 11 But i do blame myself more because I told her 1-2 weeks prior instead of like 5 months. All my fault :(

I saw the 95% totality, it was amazing but it said to me "okay, Sally, you gotta find a way to get to totality in 2045". I'm 17 (turning 18 in May) so I was in the same boat. I'm just thankful it didn't cloud over and I got to see what I did.

Darnit. I keep going back and forth... driving up to Vermont right now is 3 1/2 hours. I could leave tonight in the middle of the night to arrive early a.m. I just don't know what I'm up against with the traffic, especially on the return drive. 😳 I wanna see this so bad. It'll be 92% here. I want totality!!!

I'm 17 so I had no way to drive to totality so my big hope was that what I did have to work with, 95% totality, was at least visible because it was cloudy all morning. Then as if by miracle, clouds broke a half hour before the eclipse, then returned for about two hours after it was all done. I was blown away by 95% by how dark it got, all that told me is that I need to go see totality for sure to get the full image. I'll be the same age my mom is now in 2045.
