Hi Jesse, Are you still satisfied with the Lenovo 9i for trading? honest please
@jessevanro3 күн бұрын
My main feedback is that the laptop itself is underpowered, what is noticeable with some more heavy duty work. I would be excited to see a new version of this one with the new ARM semiconductors. But I don't expect to release it anytime soon. Overal, the laptop is still amazing for trading. It runs my trading software smooth most of the time (not always). I am willing to pay for the lack of power, for the usability of this laptop. Keep in mind, Asus has released a similar laptop. So it's worth to take a look into that as well. If I could choose between the best of Asus and this one. I would still use this one. Mostly of how clean this one looks. Overall, acceptable performance. But underpowered for the price. Amazing for productivity, but it will struggle in heavier tasks.

IBKR is not focused on traders rather than on long-term investors. You've made a bad broker choice and that's on you. XTB is way better in this regard if you trade with less than €100k. Anyway you'll still lose money by trading over the longterm so why bother?
@jessevanro3 күн бұрын
IBKR, is still a better broker for daytraders than XTB regardless account size. because the spread on cfd brokers are significant (look for my vidoe CFD vs Stocks). Also it's true you need to choose the best broker for your style, that's why I dedicated specially a video for that as well. But CFD brokers as XTB I generally do not recommend. So when in doubt, IBKR is a solid option. Futher, it's indeed difficult to succeed in trading. Most people need to change as a person. It's a process that takes time, dedication, discipline. If I knew the journey it would take me on, not sure if I would have started.

This guy never understands IB. A lot of the things he talked about are not accurate or not correct. I've been using IB for 15 years. Sure there are ups and downs. But if you know how IB works, it is about the best one I get for trading. But you do not want to have just one online broker. Anything can or could go wrong.

You should start the video by explaining that you made your own mistakes, instead of waiting till the last 30 seconds to say that.

I’m a US based account holder. In December 2023, someone was able to hack into my account, even though I was using 2FA and wire out almost the entire account. About 740,000 of $800,000. And incredibly, that did not raise any alarms at Interactive Brokers, I had to notify them of the problem. Thankfully, they were able to get back about $630,000, but I’m still out $110,000. To this day, they still won’t tell me exactly what happened. I’m sincerely glad others are happy with Interactive Brokers. Personally though, I think this company is a disaster. Thank you for reading!

Something is wrong with me. I get emotional with paper accounts in the same way as I do with cash accounts. The only way I've gottwn over it is hybrid automated entries.
@jessevanro10 күн бұрын
It's good you notice you get emotional, The second step is to discover what exactly make you emotional? Is it fear of failure, fear of net achieving your goal, it's a good thing to just write it down, what you feel, when you start feeling, why you feel it. There are patterns in your emotional responses, this self knowlage is crucial to achieve in the market.

Started studying day trading back around 2014 ish. I stopped in 2019 cause I was sucking bad, had a few losses. Last August I started trading again but instead of stocks, I found that futures worked better for me. So I found a few tricks that worked. I have somewhere around a 90% accuracy when it comes to picking the areas to buy or sell. However I LOSE most or all gains on stupid loses that I don't cut short. So I'm currently trying to manage and become good at losing. It's the only thing stopping me from starting again with real money.

Reasons I left IBKR: 1. Customer support is so-so 2. There's more functionality than I need, you need a relevant financial education to understand all the nuances fully 3. The interface remains annoying 4. I can't buy US ETFs anymore anyway... So, I'm sticking to eToro and Trading 212. 5. They ask me for duplicate information... And there's no option to change my bloody tax residence / home. If they improve customer support, info requests, communication and make a "IBKR for dummies", I may consider them again.
@AChang-ov3lq5 күн бұрын
I agree with your #2. IB offers so much that a lot of people do not even know how to use them. Never heard that you can't buy US ETFs. That is funny.

This is one of the best nature motivotional videos i have ever seen. you should do a remake version of this if you have time where u set up a sketch of all your 1-10 scenarios of your emotions just for the content i like your style :D this would take a lot of effort and video will be like maybe 30minutes or longer probably not sure if you have time for this. I agree to every points of your lists and recognize them, but for me personally, your last statement shocked me the most, well i thought of it but its hard to swallow, is that trading is my own journey. I'm alone on this and most likely will stay alone. Iam trading now since 2023 and since then i try to find a trading friend, a partner or something, but it does not work. People who dont even know about trading restrain from learning and trading with me, and the one who are trading, are trading for themself too and dont want that also, so yea, you right. I should focus more on myself for now. Peace and love for you my friend :)

Interactive Broker, its impossible to login to, Customer Service is non existent, has no real user videos on KZfaq only for marketing its product, all totally BS firm, best used for extra backup data Charting which is good, If they keep the Love of this Broker software coming we hope to see them doing well in the future, in the mean time its just Incubating Beta software, good luck...

Ross Cameron is one of the most honest transparent traders on the internet, showing both wins and losses and very honest about expectations, teaching and performance, he makes this clear before and after videos on typical results and has it printed all over his videos. The watchdog was just doing a cash grab. corruption at its finest.

Gurus, indicators, flux capacitors. You'll never start making a profit until you sit yo butt down and figure out the language yourself. Of course after a really long time diving in the rabbit hole and wandering around. Once it starts clicking you won't need any lagging indicators. The closest thing I could relate it to is The Matrix. I don't know how to explain it. You'll just see it. It'll take some time and you'll develop your own style that works for you. I'm three years in trading forex and just now making returns on my trades.
