I slept on the top floor with the patio door slightly open to enjoy the breeze off the lake in the heat of the summer. It had 4 thick steel bolts that kept it from opening all the way, when locks were engaged; which they always were. One day when I came home and went to drop a few items on my bed... a massive black bear was sleeping on the patio outside my bedroom! 😱 It was a narrow patio so his ample sides were puffed through the railings n against the thick double-glazed patio door. He didn't woke up at that moment... thank God! Lol Later, the next day I went outside n saw the claw marks of his climb right up the side of the house. Apparently he was a regular. Needless to say.. I never slept w the door opened anymore! Lol *all that to say... IF that Mama Bear felt threatened.. that short lil climb up to your deck, would have been nothing for her... just so you're aware.
