Glad you are loving your LEAF and finding it easy to drive. Roughly how long did it take you to get used to the differences? The quietness is something that concerns me - have you noticed any difference as regards pedestrians not knowing that you are coming? My boys have got really good at listening for cars and my concern is that teaching them to cross the road is hard enough.
@DawnieBrown9 жыл бұрын
In reality it only took a few trips out with it to really relax. I suppose I'd have probably been tense driving any brand new car. I still drive the manual 4x4 occasionally and nowadays I find it quite easy to switch between the 2. I'm more like to get confused between the windscreen wipers and the indicators than I am the clutch :)
@pinkoddy9 жыл бұрын
Good to hear that it is such a easy adjustment

Awesome. Glad that the Leaf is working out for you. We have one also, and found that the gas (petrol) car that we still had was just gathering dust in the garage so we sold it and purchased another electric car. - Canadian cousin in British Columbia

Never thought about electric car
@Ababyonboard9 жыл бұрын
That's fab that there are so many charge points around - I had no idea it would be that easy to use. How long does it last between charges? Looks great x
@DawnieBrown9 жыл бұрын
A full charge will typically do around 85-90 miles but it does vary depending on how you are driving etc, it drops a fair bit when you are on the motorway and travelling over 65mph
@LilinhaAngel9 жыл бұрын
I must say I've never thought about having an electric car before, but after watching your video, it made me consider as it looks very convenient x
@HelpfulMum9 жыл бұрын
This looks great. We are looking into a new car this year and it definitely gives us something else to think about.
@KaraGuppy9 жыл бұрын
I would love to try an electric car but they are all too small for my family and Dorset has very few charging points which is a real shame
@DawnieBrown9 жыл бұрын
We are really lucky up here in the NE that it's really EV friendly. Ooh but Nissan have just bought out an electric van Kara which you can get in people carrier mode so size shouldn't be an issue :) hopefully the charging network will continue to expand into the areas that are lacking at the moment

My, what a big selfie stick you have! Have you got over the whole 'this car is absolutely silent' thing? Found it fascinating!
@DawnieBrown9 жыл бұрын
I love how silent it is Kate (although I only really get to appreciate it fully when I don't have the kids arguing in the back lol) - it's quite spooky at first isn't it!

You have really got me thinking now as we need a new family car but don't often use a big car for all of us. Great video.

It's one of those things that once you get the idea in your head you have to investigate more :) I never realised just how practical they were until I started researching them

Love this! Looks like so much fun - and I'm also intrigued - how did you manage it? x
@DawnieBrown9 жыл бұрын
Using a GoPro, a helmet strap, chest harness and a selfie stick (with lots of running around after them both!) - I admit I'm really pleased with the end result and my first proper attempt at being creative with the GoPro :)

I absolutely love this video - all the camera angles. What did you use to film it please?
@DawnieBrown9 жыл бұрын
I used a GoPro Hero 3+ using a headstrap, chest harness and most of the ground level and angled shots were done using a selfie stick and holding it low to the ground, lots of running around after them with it
