For all my fellow 2 stroke nerds out there here is a tiny fun theory, that engine in the digital rendering with the gold barrel and head appears to be a very similar copy of the kawasaki krr150 or zx150 or ninja 150rr, super kips from Thailand. Great bikes, I have had 2 or 3 of them and would buy another if I had the chance. Also closely related to the kg150

No multiple overhead cams or variable valve timing. Might as well use all that forced induction to make it two stroke for bonus points and more fun.

End up with about same number of detonations per minute. Double the detonations per revolution, but cut max RPM in 1/2. Adding alot of complexity and weight . . . End up with an engine that is about the same size and weight and power. Remove 2 cylinders and add a supercharger . . . Back to where you started.

The supercharger in the animations is running in reverse.....So it would be sucking air out of the engine You confuse air fuel ratio and compression ratio. Conventional petrol AFR is 14.7:1. Diesel is a whole lot higher than the 15:1 you claim, as diesel's are a variable AFR engine, with no restriction in inducted air flow and engine output controlled by fuel delivery. Compression ratios are typically 10:1 for petrol and 18:1 for diesel's And the camshaft rotates 180° while the crankshaft rotates 360° in a conventional 4 stroke Otto engine If you can't even get the basics correct, it casts doubt on the entire presentation

They are harsher mechanically requiring expensive valve service rates at more than double those of a spring system. This is why Ducati just abandoned them after decades of Desmo being iconic part of their brand. Changing to springs increased the valve servicing interval by 60,000 kilometers.

I race RC cars and fly RC planes using IC engines, which are true 2 stroke nitro methanol and reach up to 30,000+ rpm which is insane and sounds deafening. I guess this engine will sound like a deisel engine running at 1800 rpm max which would petty boring.

Using a Comprex (Pressure wave supercharger) instead of a root blower would further enhance efficiency, since it requires little energy to work, and exhaust gasses leaking into the fresh air is not a problem for this engine.

Regarding the 700bar compression pressure, I call bull shit. That would be over 10000psi. I would believe 70 bar, still over 1000 psi, but I think detonation would be a problem. Regarding the lower rpm, just like with diesel engines, the lower rpm would go hand in hand with higher torque at the same rpm, so no problem there.

From the For-What-It's-Worth department: All this talk about how much faster these cars would be if only they were allowed overhead cams, rotary engines, rocket engines, no rules at all, etc. is fine as long as people understand such talk is pure fantasy that will never happen for several reasons. Safety is #1; few drag strips are long enough to allow a stop from more than 335+mph. That's 500 feet PER SECOND. It's the primary reason NHRA switched to the 1000 feet racing distance for the nitro cars back in 2008 after the death of a prominent driver who ran off the end of a short track and collided with a camera truck. Most can't be extended and wouldn't be if they could. Tire technology is another; Goodyear could build a stiffer tire for more speed but then it wouldn't contain 11,000 horsepower. The tech to build a soft tire that will handle that much power during the run and hold up to speeds of, say, 350+ does not exist and neither Goodyear nor any other manufacturer has plans to develop one that will. Aerodynamic forces that affect everything from the rear wing, front wing and the chasssis are astronomical at those speeds and they don't increase on a linear scale. Keep upping the speeds and you wind up with a death trap that's totally unsafe to drive. I could post dozens of chassis failures that destroyed cars, injured or even killed drivers due to metal fatigue at 330mph. NHRA won't have it; drivers wouldn't drive them anyway. Who could blame them. We may not have reached the end of how fast and quick a dragster COULD go but we're maxed out on how fast and quick a dragster SHOULD go. And if you're not satisfied with an impossibly loud machine that accelerates from 0 to 330 in 3.6 seconds while shooting flames 10 feet into the air, you need to find something else to do with your time. Wild speculation is fun but in this instance that's all it is and all it will ever be - speculation. RE compression ratio: It varies, usually between 6 and 7 to 1, used as a tuning tool the same as the teams add or take away blower drive, timing and clutch application. A marginal track requires less power in order to maintain traction so in go some lower compression pistons or slightly thicker head gaskets along with anything else to dial back the power. If it's a gorilla track and conditions are right, then the process goes into full-boogie mode.

that you'll forgot, oversquare engine can had characteristic similar like square engine and undersquare engine, if oversuare engine you configure cam profile and R/S same as square engine or undersqare engine, it will act same as it. in this case, not all oversquare engine is true 100% oversquare engine, and also for square and unersquare engine.... cause undersuare, oversuare and square engine is three little three piece of big whole puzzle, lets see LS2 engine and and S65 engine, oversquare engine but had characteristic like undersquare engine, high torq but also high horse power........ it's cause by head engine configuration and R/S set up......

Overstroke with rod ratio of 2.0, pretty much good for small cc like 200cc less, why I can say this, Honda Genio tho, Overstroke with R/S like an oversquare engine, dang that thing run great for stop and go application

Only one observation, turbochargers are a lot better than compresors moved by belts or gears, and just for you to know Largest Diesel Marine Engines are mostly 2 strokes. No matter what 2 strokes engines are more powerfull than 4 strokes and this is easy to prove in a P-T cuerve. Warstila Diesel Engines are the most powerfull in the world. Deutz Air Cooled Diesel Engines arealso an example that the technology is already there for many years
