Your concern is valid. Whoever says otherwise is ignorant of racism, and needs to educate themselves in how it exists and is hidden. Also, Enzo and those on the bus displayed to the rest of the world on how racism exists in South America. Where Black people can and should have pride about where they are from, people like Enzo make fun of that pride, by engaging in stereotype to create a negative character they can poke fun at. You can see it in the comedy in South America, where the black or native characters are given big lips, strong/weak, illiterate, lazy, and that’s supposed to be funny. Stuff like this has been normalized for decades - that it’s become an acceptable thing when it’s still racism. Being a brown person of indigenous parents from Peru, I’ve had my share of racist experiences on the internet from all kinds and from Argentinian people. The thing is though, that kind of stuff can be avoided, because I can just turn off the computer (real life and the internet life has not mixed to the level it has in the western world). But experiencing the real thing in real life, I’ve experienced from those of the Euro-descended white populations in Peru, the snobbery and the mocking of indigenous pride and culture. They make fun of us for being illiterate, for being uneducated, when they’re the ones in power who do not give enough education funding to the indigenous peoples. No to racism!!

I don’t understand all the racist apologists in the comments, Argentina just won a South America tournament and to celebrate the victory they sing about France (in Europe) having black players in their team. Basically proud that there’s no recent African descendant in their team, even though their country is made up of many ethnic groups, they are proud none of them are black. They’ve gone out their way to sing this song given the context it’s not banter. Got nothing to do with being sensitive, you can stick your head in the sand but fix up, cos enzo wouldn’t say that if there was any black people there so who’s really sensitive.

The problem we are having with this whole situation is that people forget we are dealing with young privileged boys. Both Enzo and the Wesley are still not mature enough to understand the world. You have young men who started earning large amounts of money at the time they are supposed to understand the struggles of life which matures and nurtures manhood. We can’t take seriously what these kids do or say. You are all grown men and women, leave the kids alone if you can’t teach them anything. Am Black man in South Africa in one of the town where racism is rampant. Trust me you don’t know racism. It’s not those TV shows you see on your tubes
