It's a lot of trash all over the place. They just throw it out the window and if makes the truck bed great take to the dump, if not the prisoners will pick it up on the chain gangs. South Carolina 😮

It's not the cute small town anymore. They are trying to put homes in most of the green space. Going on down, they are trying to fill up Berea, Travelers Rest, Tigerville. The farm land is disappearing, and traffic is so bad.

@@angiecapps690 Greenville is definitely rapidly growing. I think it depends on what you are used to when it comes to traffic. If you move from a place that has extreme traffic with 8 lane highways it won’t feel like it. If you are used to small towns it will. It is still a beautiful place by far though

To many democrats in Greenville sc - it's been turning into another Asheville NC, Nashville , Austin Tx etc - drugs, crime, violence moving in with growth from northern democrat run refugees - also an illegal alien Sanctuary City like some of the surrounding suburbs and towns - losing it's Southern Culture - sign of the times I guess

Moved here 2 years ago. Wish I never did. The culture here is so strange. Fake southern charm. Lots of racists, transphobic, and homophobic people here. Started dating a contractor and he is constantly pointing out how poorly my expensive house was constructed. The locals hate transplants and make it known.

Thank you for including special needs I have a child who is special needs,it makes this thought of relocation even better..I just worry about how they would be with their asthma condition though since you mentioned pollen and I heard humidity is pretty bad there.

@@LilRemyRed so I would talk to your doctor, of course, but I will tell you this I have asthma. My husband has asthma and my son has extreme allergies. we use our inhalers and we enjoy a lot of the things in the outdoor still I hope that helps

amazing video, thanks for sharing. We are thinking about moving to Spartanburg from Cumming, Alpharetta area in Atlanta North, but not sure yet. We visit Greenville often and our Russian Slavic community is huge in Greer, Mauldin, Spartanburg, and other small towns; our people absolutely love it there. There are Slavic churches, Russian grocery stores, and all kinds of things, so I love it. And most of them buy land and build homes. What communities would you recommend and is there still land in Spartanburg in a safe area? Thanks, Mary

The Carolina Panthers summer training camp has been moved to Charlotte; 2023 was the last season in Spartanburg. Spartanburg has an expanding network of walking/biking trails, with plans to further expand the Hub City Hopper curb protected bike lanes downtown . A first in the state nature trail specifically designed for people with special needs is under construction at Lake Blalock just north of the city. A 945 acre park is being planned for just southeast of the city. A planetarium is under construction at the public library headquarters which will be only the 2nd planetarium at a public library in the US. Spartanburg has an innovative van pool program to provide transportation to work for people during times when the city bus system does not operate. A reliable source of information about crime in SC counties is the state crime report on the SLED website. There is a breakdown by county of the rates of various types of crime as well as statewide trends. State statistics do not show Spartanburg’s crime rate to be the highest in the state in any category. The city of Spartanburg once sued Neighborhood Scout for publishing crime statistics for city based on data drawn from a larger area than the city. Spartanburg’s city police department is one of the 2 in the state that has implemented Real Time Crime technology. The flag of the Spartan Regiment that Spartanburg was named after is on display at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. Spartanburg has a Music Trail downtown that honors notable musicians from Spartanburg as well as a Revolutionary War Trail. Spartanburg’s hospital system has been highly rated by US News.

Education is poor here. Lots of original people from the area don’t like anyone not from here. Roads are horrible despite regular tax increases to fix the roads. There is generally a lot of random trash along the road that people toss out their car windows. Lots of low quality construction going on in residential. There are three words many people here do not know how to say. “I don’t know “. They will just ramble on and take up your time saying nothing. Just say hey I don’t know and let me find someone who does 😊. Terry

Everyone has their right to their opinion. I ll say I’m sorry you feel that way. The school system has been great for both of our children. One is gifted and one is not. They both thrived. The roads definitely do need to be fixed and they are working on that. Infrastructure takes time and it’s costly so that is why the taxes go up to fix them. I will agree some people do not love people moving here but that will happen where ever you move. Living here 20 plus years I can say over all most people are kind. Different price points in residential do reflect what you said and then others are phenomenal. All in all we can agree to disagree.

@@livingingvl I have been here over 40 years. Its not opinion its fact ha ha. I worked in the residential construction as a State Electrical Contractor for most of my adult life. High end homes mostly. There are some excellent contractors but its not the norm its few and far between. I am pretty picky but I hold myself to the same standards. They have been raising taxes and "going" to fix the roads for decades yet it never happens. I did watch a City paid project go on for months and months where they moved the same pile of dirt from one end of that area to the other every day for months. It was a multi million dollar project. My son went to one of the better schools here. He thrived. It was easy for him. It does not change the fact that the education system here is below most of the country. Its easy to thrive in an environment with low standards if you apply yourself. I am not trying to be ugly but I see so many times where people try to attract other people to move here but don't give all the facts. My son and I do work for the county Sheriffs Department from time to time. Crime is bad here. Some of the worst in the nation but I never see anyone tell that when they are trying to get people to move here. :)

@@50browncAll over. I reside in Greer and caught on camera 4 thieves trying to break into my car and my neighbor’s cars in the middle of the night. The cops don’t do anything about it. I called them and offered the video I had of the criminals and no one ever contacted me back. The criminals hit at least 11 other neighborhoods. I’m from S. Florida and felt safer there because we had gated communities. Wish I never moved here.

@@originalk9111 you may like Piedmont. There are parts of it that are closer to Greenville that has country living lifestyle as well. With the home prices still lower than being in Greenville. Another one to think about is Liberty closer to Powdersville side of Liberty.
