I thought they were Mainstream CHR prior to 2022?

WVHT flipped to Hot AC in August 2016. I don't know if they moved back to CHR later on.

Personally, I think it’s very stupid that the station flipped to AC when, we already have 11.3 doing the same format I mean, I get that when it first started out in 2005, it was doing a sort of gold-based AC format, which I would still prefer even now to what it currently is

Sucks WNVZ is the only CHR station left in Norfolk and it’s not mainstream anymore

Why is it on 92.3?

WCXL is off the air because of technical reasons. Beach 104 has more listeners than Z92.3.

These satellite-fed stations are infuriating. The obvious pause between the DJ "saying" the station name, the live DJ never saying anything specific about the location or the weather, everything being so generic, identifying the station simply by a slogan but not by a name, it's all so grating to my ears. Another OBX station used to do this, namely WCXL before switching to a more locally-oriented presentation which made the station so much more listenable.

iHeartMedia should bring back Lite FM to 107.7 Norfolk/Hampton Road. Sounds like they played more than just Christmas pop like Christmas country jazz and had more of a local feel before the days of premium choice when known as Clear Channel before the iHeart days

I wonder how long iHeart media plans to keep the black information at work on the main signal? Since I know the ratings are not spectacular, but the revenue must be doing incredibly well. And this in the near future iHeart media plans to change the format, I suggest maybe going back to classic hits since that region doesn’t have a class of kids station in the market.

I was going to say that it should flip to mainstream CHR, but I don’t think that format works in Norfolk anymore. Similar to how country doesn’t work in New York City anymore.

I kind of feel like a SummitMedia Did not give the jack FM format much of a chance in Richmond. It only lasted about two years I think. And plus I had more of a variety. Then the current heavy 80s playlist. That the station is running right now. And plus another observation status seems to me that. And the 100.9 frequency six to always be changing formats every couple of years.
