Hi Walter, A ticket to board our submarine is not cheap, this we are aware but to take passengers underwater in the open sea to a depth of around 30m is no easy task. The ticket price is dependent on many factors, such as the purchase price of the Submarine (3 million euros), there are in fact only 14 submarines of our class on the planet today, the staff required to run a safe submarine operation (27 staff), the maintenance cost (new windows come in at €140,000 for example). Diving to 30m can be unsafe if you do not take the necessary safety precautions. As safety is our first priority, it does increase our operational costs and this is reflected in the ticket price. We are sure that, if given the choice our clients would prefer a well maintained safe submarine at our price, to a poorly maintained submarine, which may save them a few Euros placing their safety at risk. This was the result of local fishermen trying to catch this ray. Our dive team has now removed this and she is back to swimming freely around the Atlantic Ocean.
