Good Evening Shaner I have a 2015 Peterbilt 365 ready-mix truck with an Allison MH 1000 trans. I am told the the auto neutral feature was an option back in 2015. My truck does not go into auto neutral with the parking brake in engaged. Do you know if the above is true and how do I get the auto neutral feature to work so my truck will not take off when parking brake is engaged. Thank You

so i had this exact milwaukee set that i used for about 3 years but the thing i disliked the most was the length, found them to be kinda short and i couldn’t really reef on em. i JUST traded the set for a snap on soexmet01fbr, my guy gave me an absolute steal that i couldn’t pass. the snap on set goes for 1200$ and he gave it to me for 700$ 7-25mm and already feels amazing and works way better, longer, and thinner. just got them a day ago so i can give you a full comparison

Having this problem on my ‘13 FX4. I ordered the whole assembly online and plan to make the swap myself. Quick question: is there any reason the new shifter would also have to be in the neutral setting once power is restored since the old one will likely be in neutral when power if cutoff? I noticed in your video the new one seems to be in park once you restored power but wasn’t sure if it mattered or not. Just wanna make sure there won’t be a crazy outcome like selected gear on the new shifter not matching what the truck is sensing eg. shifter is indicating reverse but the truck is in drive. I assume since it’s an electronic signal it won’t matter but thought I’d double check. Thanks!

Thanks. I suffered this fate with my wife's 2016 Kia Sorento. Kia warranteed the engine but the dealership was super backed up. It took them 2 months to get the work approved from Kia HQ. Since they couldn't see my car for 2 months to see what was wrong, I was not entitled to a rent a car... I was not happy to say the least. I will be leaving the Kia/Hyundai ecosystem sooner than later and go back to either Toyota or Honda.

Having learned about all types of engines from 4 to 8 cylinder engines, I have had people complain about spending a lot of money on oil and I asked them what oil are they using. Long story short if you don't have a k20 or any dohc engine and you don't have 100,000 miles on your engine, a full synthetic oil is going to be consumed by your engine if you don't have bad piston rings as I said as long as you don't have a k20 or any type of dohc engine, a full synthetic won't fop your motor up but it is going to be going through the engine way too dang fast like a drag sprays raw fuel out the exhaust pipes and the heat creates flames, a full synthetic oil is going to go through your engine like that and if you don't check your oil then your motor will stop one day when you are driving, a motor that has the incorrect oil in it doesn't go boom when the engine blows but it just stops and dies and won't start, your crank spun a main bearing and welded it to the crank which jammed up the motor instantly. That is why it's important for people out there to understand the type of vehicle they have or how many miles they have on it before considering a full synthetic oil, personally I don't hate full synthetic oil but I've never used and don't plan on using a full synthetic in the future.
@shanersmechaniclife31643 күн бұрын
I find the best thing you can do is regular oil changes with the manufacturer recommended oils is the best thing you can do with your motor.

I have a Buick Encore with the 1.4L turbo engine. It had a P0299 low boost trouble code. I had determined it was the turbo after much diagnosis. I received a letter from Buick that if my engine has this problem, Buick was required to replace the turbo if the vehicle has less than 120,000 miles and is less than 10 years old. I just got my car back from the dealer. They replaced the turbo and related parts. Cost? $0.00. This may be the same for all the GM 1.4L Eco Boost engines.

I have just one question...Lets say there was too much oil pressure due to a bit too much oil put into the engine and there was a leak on top of the turbo near the seal and near the intercooler. If there is less oil or normal oil level as no excess, will the seal and the leak that happened go to "normal" or not?
