What makes this scene great I wonder. Is it the strong independent female playing dirty tricks, or the emotionally intelligent and grounded man trying to save a woman from her death and becoming a monster? Pretty simple what made this show work.....for a few episodes at least.

Having seen season two and three recently, this makes me incredibly sad. This first season had exactly the right feeling to it, the vibe, the overall storyline which was followed fairly well ... and then it all starting going sideways. It makes me sad because I remember very well how the first season made me feel so happy and excited as a fan of the books.

I wish the rest of the season was as good as this. Henry Cavil deserved so much more

This is some of the most romantic thing I've ever watched. Extremely well done sword fight, I've been training HEMA a couple of years with a TOO HEAVY sword and it was wonderful watching someone swing such a huge weapon, as if a feather-duster. The Renfri acress and Cavill could have been an amazing team in whatever they did together. Both beautiful in their own way, both in personality and pure, cold looks.

Good fight, but the authors fucked up with Renfri's personality: in books when she was mortally wounded before she bled out, she tried to lure Geralt to stab him with a hidden knife. He didn't come as he knew it was a trap
