@@deadendrecordingstudios because you hardly have any good 10 band dynamic eq... besides there arent just 3 4 5 or 6 frequency you need to approach when balancing I DONT MIX TO LET IT JUST SOUND GOOD I MIX TO GET REALITY RESULTS like you hearing the voice in reality not like a computer its coming from

@@deadendrecordingstudios some dynamic eq aren't natural sounding and the more you use more than one of them sometimes the sound gets worst and you end up using tone load of plugin to correct this and that

@@deadendrecordingstudios I think SSL and WAVES should developed a 12-24 band dynamic eq and make it less expensive why because there eq are really good

I use eq mostly to correct frequencies that sounds off to me.if you watch my videos you will see that I do mostly corrective eqing. When I record my vocals I try to get the best sounding possible so I don't have to use alot of eq. But whatever works for you, keep doing it.

I agree, I use austica and serato for stem separation so no big deal. But I guess I'm gonna have to upgrade to a m chip. It's just kinda weird how Apple launched this version of logic and didn't tell about the m chip support only.

@@deadendrecordingstudios Apple is going to Apple but AI and these heavier plugins are also contributing to the need for newer powerful processors. I'm shocked my little quad core i7 has held in this long but oversampling/AI destroys it.

Bro studio one is amazing give it a go I used to use logic but hated the piano roll and other things logic didn’t have back in 2018. Studio one 6 is the most complete daw ever you can literally make beats with amazing piano roll and workflow/sampling and editing . Then you can make the song and master all in studio one. The effects plug-ins are on par with logic too only thing I think logic has on them is stock vsts. But studio one is so awesome I have used every Daw Ableton,Fl, Cubase, pro tools, ect. Studio one has Abeltons sample manipulating, Fl piano roll and drum editing+ logics recording for vocals with easy multi takes and editing with melodyne. And Pro tools pro finish with their mastering software (now u can master songs to Dolby Atmos. too!) your can do it all in studio one ☝️ if you need sounds like logic just run reason in studio one 💥 Lmk what you thjink 30 day pro trial is a great intro. And I just use month sub for 20$ for their deluxe version super affordable

@@deadendrecordingstudios Because they want to sell computers. Apple unlike companies like Ableton or Presonus or Image Line aren’t in the business of selling the DAW. Apple is in the business of selling computers.

Poor excuse there are plugins that use the same tech that run off Intel without needing M1 or higher die hard Logic user but Logic updates already been around and used nothing blew me away

@@ceehitsounds mmm that may be true, but I mean We all know 2 facts, the first one is that Apple always force you to upgrade to newest models, they have always done that, Second fact, Intel CPU's really suck, the require too much energy and they run very slow and elevate the heat of the computer and the CPU throttles, So I recommend you to start looking for a M1 computer, they are now become very cheap because of the existence of M2, M3, M4.

I've been mixing records , some with 100 tracks or more on my Intel and never had any problems. My computer stays on 24hrs a day and never had an overheating problem. I've been using Logic since it was emagic and this is the first time Apple has made an update that alienates Intel users . I'm definitely not happy about that . But you're right, I am gonna have to get a m chip computer. Apple just put the writing on the wall. Smh.

@@deadendrecordingstudios is this an Apple intel laptop? Because if it is , I assure you that the fans are on all the time and that the cpu is throttling. But if you can get the job done great for you, that’s what matters. Now it is a fact that Apple Silicon is way way faster and efficient, so with an M1 you probably would be able to work with the triple of tracks and plug-ins, this is a fact. ARM architecture is way beyond the capabilities and efficiency of x86 processors. To me Intel really sucks big time in comparison to Apple Silicon

The first time Logic required an M chip was back in 2021 Logic 10.7 and the Dolby Atmos feature. Then it happened a second time in 2023 Logic 10.8 and the Mastering Assistant, you needed an M chip if you wanted all 3 algorithms in the Mastering Assistant.
