Great video! Though you forgot the important melodic sequence in Eleanor Rigby: "...picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been"

The Beatles use tons of these patterns and "sequences" in many of their songs like Eleanor Rigby, Nowhere Man, Penny Lane, etc

These ideas are helping me to connect with music in a way I had almost given up on. Analysing music and hearing it in terms of the figures David defines is transformational. Thank you for these films (and the books).

What??! Only 408 views in 1 year? Is KZfaq algorithm still working? I am sure, millions of viewers are dying for such kind of a video!

Fuentes’ emphasis on (a) musical ‘words’ (figures) rather than musical ‘letters’ (notes) (b) and that contrast is an important as repetition is nearly unique (Phil Rees says much the same) but only Fuentes puts accented beats as the progressive goalposts of any & every melody....bravo !

when hundreds of youtubers re-hash conventional theory, you really reach for something more - something our gut feels is right

This simple 1 minute and 29 second video just helped this concept click in my brain. Why this video doesn't have more views, I'll never understand, but good stuff!

I have had the original ebook for years. Always next to my bed to read over an over. It is great seeing topics from the book brought to life with these KZfaq videos. Great job David!
