I have a tree my brother and I did 5 years ago, not done quite like he says but still pretty with lights to the end of branches (at least as high as our ladder would go). I just unplug the lights after January 1st and leave them up, no way would I take them down...however the tree is very dead now(2021) and I'll be taking it down, the lights are the only thing holding it together and as the large branches have fallen, I just redid the lights up/down a nearby branch. This is SO HELPFUL!! I was always so curious how people connected their lights & started and stopped their strings! That lamp cord is mind blowing - I still can’t believe you can just cut the cord!
