I'm the same as Julian and I never went to school after Year 12 because I just hate them all. The day I turned 18, I dropped out of high school.

I think you tried harder the entire victorian state combined to get a perfect 50 study score in year 12. You should teach English at a high school.

****Warning**** For all 2024 year 12 VCE students doing general English 3/4, this is an amazing template but remember the new 2024 study design is no longer comparative, so if you do get 2 texts/articles, or in my schools case a article and an audio visual, you do not Compare them, you have to basically write for both of them having similar points of view/something like that - talk to your teacher for more info. 😅😃😃 Good luck with VCE!! 😽

notes: 3 step approach: 1. understand important concept 2. link and connect diff concepts 3. apply knowledge 1. understand important knowledge: - base notes off learning outcomes / syllabus. address each point - type notes in notion - try to explain concept in your own words - use different sources - notes are training wheels 2. link n connect diff concepts - turn notes to visual form (humans remember images more) - 5 main visuals -- mind maps: link scattered concepts --tree diagram: hierarchy -- flow chart: sequence -- tables: similar or difference -- annotated diagrams - acxompany visuals with descriptions in exam: - understand where concept fits in bigger picture (visual diagrams) - explain in words (descriptions help) 3. apply holistic knowledge - fill in gaps of knowledge with practice - compile wrong questions - see mark scheme and use exact wording in notes - biology has focus in analysis and long explanations and reading diagrams recap - focus on making notes of learning outcomes - understand concepts - do practice qns

How do you know what you should be trying to get good at and avoid crucial errors? I did an English sac and got a D purely because I did not respond to the topic correctly, and I do not know how I would have prevented that considering I thought it responded alright and I asked my teacher if I was responding to the topic well enough and they said not to worry about it. (I got a C+ on my practice piece which I thought was 10x worse).

I’m studying to get into university, especially biology courses. But, my exam requires the HS biology, and I have to review and relearn everything. That’s why I’m here. I’ve been using flashcards to memorize some concepts and terms, but I think that making mind maps would be a great strategy too because we have to review what we’ve learned.

Hello! Thank you for the great explanation and break down. I do have a question regarding the BP. What is the purpose of an expansion sentence in a BP? is there a difference between it and the topic sentence? I don't really understand that, also I have good ideas but I can't put them in words. Is there any advice?

Hey Julian, I have a very important question: Did you go to tutoring for any of your subjects? If yes, was it helpful, and what are the benefits of tutoring? Also, do you ever regret going to tuition? I have 8 hours of tuition a week, and I am contemplating whether I need the 3 hours of tuition for physics and chemistry. I am currently in yr 11 in a non-selective public school, and understand the concepts taught (probably because they are really easy). I've always been an A student, and have never failed a subject. But I am afraid that I may burnt out with all the tuition, and homework, and assignments.

Could you make video about how to do mind maps(while i know your advice works but it just hard to do mind maps correctly to build connection it just keep ending up as messy and not so well connected)

My simple answer is discipline. Have a disciplined lifestyle. Exercise for 20 mins when you get home. Have a snack for 10 mins but unpakc your things first. Write any notes from class and do practice papers if time permits, finish hw (play light music if you are good at it). once done, plan for next day and take 30mins-1 hr to relax
