Subbed. Thumbs up. Nice riding. There is a grey 2010 Tiger 1050 SE with 23K miles for sale near me for $5K - is that a good deal or do I go for the black 2018 Z900RS with 4K miles for $7K?

Thanks 👍 Tough choice as they are quite different bikes - one is a tall sports tourer, the other a retro naked. I see the overlap in terms of performance, and actually the 1050 Tiger has aged well and has a cool retro vibe about it. Essentially, the choice comes down to whether you want a 3 cylinder sound or 4 cylinder sound (personal choice - own and love both) , and whether you have a good mechanic nearby or are good with mechanics yourself - as Triumphs do have electrical issues in particular which you typically won't see with a 2018 Kawasaki Z900rs. Additionally, the Tiger has a snatchy throttle (you may hear the jerk as I transition to the throttle out of bends) and a stiff gearbox - both of which are smoother on the Z900rs. As you can see, these don't stop the bike from being excellent on tight technical roads and as a tourer. Final thing about the Tiger is that the headlight is very poor so if you ride at night budget in $300 for LED spotlights - see my night riding vids for effectiveness of LED auxiliary lights. If the it's the triple sound you want and the Tiger you are looking at is well maintained, then 5k is a fair price. The 4k mile Z900 is a nice deal though. Hope that helps 👍

Thanks! The 1050 hasn't got the smoothest of gearboxes so it takes bit of finessing
