*WHAT THE CHURCH CLERGY DON'T OR KNOW BUT THEY ASSUME!* Those who serve at churches don't even struggle with life, sisi kama washirika ndio tunawachangia kila kitu and they might not feel the effect. Why is the church silent about finance bill and they keep on entertaining politicians by giving them cloud to talk about politics and gain mirage in the form of fund drives? Can we refer to the bible and advise the church on what it Should be doing???? The Bible does provide several instances where prophets criticize or warn kings like our president Ruto for their oppressive or unjust policies, including taxation. Here are some key passages and their applications: *1. 1 Samuel **8:10**-18:* This passage describes the prophet Samuel warning the Israelites about the future behavior of a king. He tells them that a king will take their sons and daughters, the best of their fields and vineyards, and a tenth of their grain and vineyards, essentially describing a form of taxation and conscription that would lead to oppression. *Application to Kenya:* This passage can be used to argue that heavy and unjust taxation can lead to oppression and suffering of the common people. Just as Samuel warned the Israelites, Kenyans can advocate for fair and just policies, warning against any laws that would unduly burden the populace. *2. 1 Kings 12:1-19:* This passage recounts the story of Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, who chose to follow the harsh policies of his advisors instead of listening to the plea of the people to lighten their heavy burdens. This led to the division of the kingdom. *Application to Kenya:* The story of Rehoboam can be used to highlight the dangers of ignoring the pleas of the people for relief from heavy burdens, including taxes. It can serve as a cautionary tale about the potential consequences of enacting oppressive policies without considering the impact on the populace. *3. Isaiah 10:1-2:* In this passage, the prophet Isaiah condemns those who make unjust laws and deprive the poor of their rights, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. *Application to Kenya:* This passage can be employed to argue against any legislation, including financial bills, that disproportionately harms the poor and vulnerable. It emphasizes the need for laws that protect and support all citizens, especially the most disadvantaged. *4. Micah 3:9-11:* The prophet Micah denounces the leaders of Jacob and the rulers of the house of Israel for building Zion with blood and Jerusalem with wickedness, criticizing the judges who judge for a bribe, priests who teach for a price, and prophets who tell fortunes for money. *Application to Kenya:* Micah’s denunciation can be used to criticize leaders who enact policies for personal gain or at the expense of justice and equity. It calls for integrity and justice in leadership and governance. *Even if the Church is failing us in Kenya, Applying These Lessons in Kenya,* To apply these biblical principles to oppose the punitive finance bill in Kenya, one might: *1.Raise Awareness:* Use these scriptures to inform and educate the public about the moral and ethical implications of unjust taxation. *2.Advocate for Fair Policies:* Encourage lawmakers to consider the impact of their decisions on the most vulnerable members of society and to enact just and equitable financial policies. *3.Engage Religious Leaders:* Mobilize church leaders and religious communities to speak out against the finance bill, drawing on these biblical teachings to support their stance. *4.Promote Public Dialogue:* Facilitate discussions and forums where citizens can express their concerns and propose alternatives that would be less burdensome. *5Encourage Nonviolent Protest:* Organize peaceful demonstrations and petitions to show widespread opposition to the bill, emphasizing the desire for just governance. By leveraging these biblical passages, Kenyans, we can build a strong moral and ethical case against the finance bill, advocating for justice, fairness, and the well-being of all citizens. *#G_Y** & G_Z On The Move, Reject The Finace Bill.*

On 4/21/24 at 10.00am I watched in KZfaq Mr Ogolla's funeral procession, his Son Rabuku was given a chance to Speak after other Speakers. To my surprise; his Son Rabuku was talking about himself, plans he had in his life; building Schools, Churches for N'giya Village Community, that he didn't want to depend on Politicians coz Politicians don't get things done. He talked a little bit how in the past he and his Dad visited the Widows of Odinga, Achien'g Oneko, Dr. Ouko; those who mysteriously died. He showed no remorse and respect in his Dad's death. Eulogy period time; Speakers speak good things in remorse about the deceased but Rabuku never did that, that means he has something to do with his Dad's death. Let Authorities investigate Rabuku's phone contacts, internet contacts; the nature of his emails, texts etc in the past 4 months or so. Authorities may find LEADS how he conspired in his Dad's death.
