Does blue-green algal toxins affect the pond later in summer when water heats up?

Not an expert on Algae... We have not had any issues with blue-green algae. However, our ponds are spring and ground water feed (why the pond is where it is too) and the ground water runs about 54°F all year into the ponds. So water temperatures below the surface stay cool.
